Paypal Chargeback

Just got charged back for $97, is there anything I can do to win this dispute?..



I was also wondering if I can just ditch the account if I can't win it..it is unverified.

 

You could try calling paypal and explaining your problem to them, they are usually pretty helpful.

 

i had a guy try charge me back over $2 worth of gold last month yes you heard right $2 haha anyway paypal ended up going "declined we beleive you were in control of your account at the time these funds were transfered" or something along them lines so just wait it out and see what happens...

 

Look I'll be honest here, just ditch the account if you have no real details confirmed on it. Paypal makes thousands of dollars everyday, losing $100 is nothing. Besides if they took legal action, which would never happen you obviously have proof or what not that you sold a virtual item.

 

Shame you were scammed, no reason you can't have a shot at disputing it through. Who knows you might get though to an understanding person on the other end.

 

Try appeal it and if it fails then just discard of the account (Have been chargebacked on before and it sucks :/)

 

You can try calling PayPal, but to be 100% honest, you're like 95% not going to win.

 

I agree with BSGP, i rang up about a 7$ thing because a guy scammed me and they pretty much just said "sorry it was for virtual goods, according to our sellers policy we cant do anything"

 

Yea, explain the situation. I had 400$ chargeback, even tho i did deliver account and never recovered it. I saved all screenshots and shit from conversation with buyer. Attached files with appeal, and got my 400$ back. made new Paypal, and it got locked. Apparently they can find out when you got more then 1 paypal acc, even tho IP is different.

 

They find out thru your bank card details ect

 

Paypal can be a bit tricky sometimes. Gl with your PP.

 

Tbh, you have a 5%-10% chance of winning the dispute. The only way you can win an unauthorized claim is to call PayPal, and tell them to view the IP addresses of when the account was made, and when the money was sent. If they are the same, you will most likely win, but if he was using a proxy/VPN, you will lose the dispute. Good luck.
