Paying with VISA Giftcard?

Hey, I have someone interested in buying GOLD off my via Visa Giftcard.

He said he has the card, and he will send the money to me, and he can't charge it back...

I've never dealt with this, is it safe? How does it work?

AFAIK you plug the code in and the card gets emptied of the funds.

Why do you need to know my personal information if I am purchasing the card for someone else?
Your information protects your rights with the card if it is ever lost or stolen before the person to whom you are sending the Visa Prepaid Card receives it. When you provide personal information, such as your name, address, and phone number, it enables the gift card receiver to call a Customer Service Representative and validate their identity as the gift card receiver. Without your personal information, the gift card receiver does not have chargeback rights, nor can they replace the card, if it is ever lost or stolen before they were supposed to receive the card.

This makes it sound as though if the person with the giftcard has confirmed their personal details they could report it as stolen.
