Paying for unbanning accounts?

So word on the street is sometimes you are able to pay Jagex to unban your account? I have one account for RWT back in 2008 that was given the kibash as well as one in 2009 or so (when they took the Wild out) for macroing.

Chances of trying to log onto these again and seeing about appealing? I don't want to use my IP now because its new IP and I get paranoid about them keeping records.

They were just rumors.
Nobody ever proved that they paid to get unbanned (besides negative membership credit related stuff).

 

This is correct, the only "Paying to be unbanned" was removing the negative credit on your account.

 

Ah, ok thank you. Well it was worth a shot they were nice accounts (to me anyway).

 

They did give you a chance to pay to unban your account, i think it was around $22.75 but this was back in march. And no they didnt unban people who got banned for rwt, only for macring , hijacking, ect. I know this cause i tried .

 

I wish I knew about this when it happened..

 

They did do this for a period of time for certain people. However, these requests are no longer checked so I don't believe you can do it anymore.
