Greetings fellow WoW players. As most of you should know, the final raid content patch for this expansion is coming up.
The Deathwing Raid has been titled 'Dragon Soul' and will feature 8 bosses, two of them being Deathwing Encounters.
The raid continues from the 3 pre-raid 5 man dungeons (similar to FoS/PoS/HoR from ICC). It's set in the Wrymrest Temple, in Dragonblight. If you have leveled in Dragonblight, it's the massive pillar that houses the dragon aspects.
The Deathwing encounter looks to be very interesting and challenging. After defeating the past 6 bosses, you parachute from a gunship onto Deathwing's back, where you are required to rip off his armor whilst he is flying around Azeroth doing barrel rolls and spawning adds to try and kill you. Also, apparently there is going to be a mechanic that requires the raid to balance so that they don't get knocked off
.
After ripping off his armor, Thrall will use the dragon soul to smash him into the Maelstrom and then the second boss fight starts.
Honestly, my favorite raid of all time is Ulduar, I loved the concept of the Old Gods, and Yogg Saron was one of my favorite encounters of all time. This raid is surely looking to be epic.
Many people seem to be concerned about the number off bosses within the raid, however as seen from Firelands, where there were no real boring fights (most of Naxx/ToC/BWD comes to mind there) and all of the fights were well crafted. I honestly think this raid should last us till the next expansion.
What are your opinions about the raid?
