Queston about rares.

So a few weeks ago, i bought a green h'ween (140M). It Started to crash so i managed to sell without taking to big of a loss (127M). Well i was in W2 yesterday, and i managed to get a Santa for 125M.. It seems that they are already buying and selling for around 130-135M. I was thinking of keeping until Xmas when they rise, but im not sure.. what do you guys think? i did this last year and made like 30m, but the economy is way different this year.

 

Santas don't really rise around christmas anymore. Last time I saw that happen was like 2008.

Unless you have 5b I wouldnt play around with rares unless you KNOW you are keeping one. Sell it.

 

keep the rares, eventually they will rise because after all they are rare

 

Look back at prices when they first were dropped onto the floors of runescape classic, Now look at the prices today. You see where i'm going? rares will never stop rising. They might drop here and there but will always go back up higher and higher. less and less of them are around every year, month and day that goes on.

 

Because everyone was preoccupied with using bots rather than community events and such

Now that for the most part the game is legit, I'm sure people will actually start to participate in such things like holidays by dressing up:laugh:

 

update: saw a few people buying santas 145M in w2.

made 20m so far.. ill probably keep

 

I bought a santa at 55M and one at 165M. I'm hoping they will go up sometime soon but if not I still made something. I personally think they will but who really knows.

 

they seem to be going up, but in the meantime, i am just lending it out for extra cash. I made about 2m so far from lending it out, so it is making me money by rising and by me jsut keeping it.

 

rares are falling because the value of raw materials are rising

this means the value of the gp is rising as well

Sell them for as much $$$ while you still can

 

Keep it bro! There's a good chance more people will want it, & I mean a Santa is a Santa.. I wouldn't worry about money if you have that much.

However, I wouldn't bet too much on a huge Xmas rise. While it is possible since we are in free trade once more instead of restrained trade, I would still play it safe and sell a week or so before Xmas....but look on the bright side, even if you do mess up, if you hold it long enough (possibly months though...) it will eventually rise up high enough for you to sell at a higher profit.
