Party Hat sets... worth it the $$$?

^ Thats a good point and my opinion as well.

No one knows whats going to happen or how much of a "free-system" JagEx is going to implement.

Regardless of what, the only items that will help through inflation or deflation is stable items such as yew logs, coal, runite bars, etc

I would rather convert all my RS wealth into these items before free trade if I want to protect my wealth and stay with the economy

 

i think cash is a safer option, but i do like party hats.. i'll consider buying one or two soonish, so watch this space.

That is true, but it didn't really sound like he wanted to resell them, so my point of view stands.

 

The only reason to ever spend that kind of cash for pixels is to turn them around and make more irl cash...but that's just my personal opinion.

 

Get a phat or two, but not a set. Not only is it truely not worth spending 3k on RS, but you would have loads more fun merchanting or doing other activities to legitimately get a set. I'll be buying a purple when free trade comes, and will have loads of fun trying to work my way up to a blue. If i had a set, the game would become boring and i'd eventually quit.

i think you're right about spending copious amounts of money on a game, it really does seem foolish in hindsight. theres many things a thousand dollars will buy these days, so i'll look at only spending a couple hundred to start with

 

If you've got a lot of spare cash then I guess you could buy one or two, but there's some clothing shops (like Cult which sells Superdry) that I could walk in and literally spend thousands. I've walked into a jewellers and spent £700 on two items, how many party hats would that get me? I'd much rather have the Armani gear than a p hat lol.

 

Well, the way I look at it is this. If you buy a Party hat once prices stabilize the IRL price for them will only go up. So if you ever get bored of RS then you could always turn around and sell it for more cash than you already paid. That said, I probably wouldn't buy anything before free trade comes out, but that is just me.
