Participation minirank

When it comes to the community events there ends up being many users who participate in multiple events and never win anything.

This suggestion is to allow users who participate in X amount of community events access to a participation minirank.

I feel this would help encourage all members whether they win or lose to keep participating in the next event, and help those who participate frequently feel appreciated.

I'm interested in the community opinion for this suggestion.

 

Support definitely makes those who feel left out, to be included.

Edit : After what Roary said, if it really requires that much work then I'll remove my support.

 

It's just a nightmare to keep track of. Doing it for the Christmas event alone was very time consuming and difficult to implement. There'd be no way to automate something like that so it would land on someone to have to log and give out each one - it took a lot more organisation and time than I thought.

 

If it's really that much effort to combine all the events I'll say no support either.

It is a good idea and we've discussed it before but reallistically I dont know who'd be willing to log it, apply it and take them away, presumably when X isnt reached unless its a permanent minirank in which case it will
motivate people for a short amount of time until its common as muck.

 

Is it not possible to code it so that it would automatically remove itself after say, 2 weeks?

Or you could make it an annual thing if it causes an issue to keep track of.

Example: every x amount of events all members who enter receive the participation minirank.

A participation rank that is applied to every contestant to a single event that expires after a week or 2 would be awesome.

I support this, but it seems like a lot of effort to keep track on (log it)

 

Maybe a simple "participation" minirank would be good. Could be specific toward the event. Again, that still requires Admin time but it at least they don't have to keep track.

It'd be great if there was a section of the user center for cdt members to distribute miniranks. Someone could be given permission to hand out x amount of ranks and the picture could be there already. Just a random thought.

 

I am going to close this just because it would be too hard to implement/keep track of correctly.
