Pardon of Pain

• Served 2 1/2 weeks banned(original ban)so staff felt an appropriate penalty was paid for my mistake + will serve 1-2 more weeks while the pardon processes meaning by the end of this I'll of served over a month banned which I daresay is penalty enough hopefully considering it's the holiday season and I/my companies have missed the most profitable time of the year by the time this pardon gets through everything. I would of been unbanned by now if my stupid ass 16 year old self didn't self vouch years ago(read below for more information). I daresay I'm a totally different person now.

I was perm'd vs temp'd for something that occurred when I was 16 years old. I didn't even have a gold site at that time and was skilling for $0.50/hour and was worrying about what girl I'd take to homecoming from my high school, I am a completely different person from when I was 16 - A stupid mistake from when I was a hormonal teenager who was excited to be making money online is something I never thought would effect me. I'm just pardoning to wipe the slate completely clean of all offences pre 12/12/2018. I have other old offences that occurred when I was 15-16 as well that to be frank I don't even remember. I don't want any old offences ever coming back to bite me in the ass again, better to just wipe the slate clean and have a fresh start.

• I posted on a thread regarding the top account selling websites on Pain referring the OP to "AWH/AK"(I listed our competition first as I didn't really think anything about this - Maybe was on the thread 30 seconds) - 9 days later I was browsing the forum on my alt account "Great Olm" and revisited the thread as it was highlighted on chrome/that account as unvisited. I literally just grabbed the scroll bar and went to the bottom of the thread to post(I genuinely didn't even see I already had as this was 9 days later) and posted "I've been on "website here"" - I didn't intend it as a vouch, I know it could be interpreted as one(and was by staff) but if I'm being honest all I was doing was post count farming. I had no intentions of trying to self vouch/self interact or help create business for my website(1 visitor when we have 7500-12,000+ uniques/month or I can get a new visitor from google ads for $0.15/click and I have 3k-6k vouches it just doesn't logically make sense that someone in my position would purposely self-vouch/self interact. I know that I made a mistake but my intentions behind that post I feel weren't really considered logically, I know that posting at all was extremely stupid but to interpret it as self vouching was pretty cold. I had no need to self vouch and nothing points towards that being my line of logic.

Here's the logic as I see it used by staff(this is my own interpretation):
Staff receive a report from John-> They visit the thread and see that Pain posted 9 days before hand recommending "AWH/AK" to the OP and than Great Olm posted 9 days later. Right off the bat that's viewed as self interaction(Rightly so in staffs eyes)-> It is than discussed and viewed as a vouch(albeit not your "typical" vouch - Quote Video) -> That moves the offence from self interacting to self vouching-> Staff than receive another report from John regarding my first self-vouching offence when I was 16 and since the self interaction was moved to self-vouching-> I get perm banned.

Now let me explain my logic(this is my own interpretation):
I am on Pain -> It's early morning(7 or 8 AM I think) -> I visit this thread asking about account selling websites-> Not thinking to much of it(I even put our competition first) I just comment saying AWH/AK -> Hop off the thread and go back to browsing, maybe spent 20 seconds on the thread.-> 9 days later I am being bullied in SF pretty bad so I hop to my alt Great Olm on chrome-> I am annoyed and I notice Great Olm has like no postcount(I think he had like 2 or 3 posts)?-> Now I know this sounds stupid for the guy with 52,000 posts that's the #1 poster on the forum to be worried about postcount but I come from the era where people used to post "250 posts!!" in DL or "1k posts!!" and it was a BIG deal. Postcount still is a big deal to me(it means something to me/bugs me) and since Great Olm was my alt account to Pain, I couldn't just go farm PC via bumps or anything so I decided to go farm some postcount. Market discussion is the most active non-market section that gives post count left so I went to market discussion-> Started posting a bunch-> Now your probably thinking did this idiot really just want to farm postcount that lead to all this? The answer is sadly yes. Let me prove it to you: Now keep in mind that it really makes no sense for me to be self-vouching, just from a business perspective or any other perspective I have no reason to self vouch to 1 individual on 1 thread, just doesn't make sense. You actually see that I posted on a thread "Account myths/common misconceptions" saying it was a useful thread-> Now why in the HELL would I comment that when I know more about accounts than 99% of users due to my ACCOUNTS BUSINESS? The answer is quite simple; I was just farming postcount on Great Olm. If you check my activity on Great Olm(when I logged in,etc) -> I did not use that account hardly ever(Maybe 4-5 times to visit the forum?) -> So Nov 27th I as I said, decided to use it more and started farming a bit of postcount(only way I could remember, I cant bump market threads or anything due to Pain). Now comes the thread that lead to all this; 9 days later I am postcount farming on Great Olm -> The thread is highlighted as unvisited-> Since I'm postcount farming to be honest I was not really reading anything more than the titles and obviously I didn't remember visiting it 9 days before-> I read a good 200-400 threads a day(old ones to)-> So since I'm just postcount farming-> I just grab my scroll bar and scroll right to the bottom. Now I realize that I cant self-vouch my own website so I write a truthful statement that isn't a vouch hence where the "I've visited AK before". -> This is why I know in my head/heart that it was incorrect for this offence to be classified as self-vouching because I consciously thought "How can I comment on this for postcount without self vouching" -> I understand staff chose to classify it as a self-vouching(as is their choice/right) but it TRULY was not meant as a vouch, it was just meant to let me farm postcount. The reason I didn't post much more is because I saw the report come up from Wortel(check the timestamps they aren't really far apart I think I was just eating or something inbeetween).

I believe I have provided a very logical explanation as to why someone in my position/status would write that-> It was not to self vouch-> It was just to farm postcount on my alt. I hope staff seriously consider this line of thinking as it fully explains everything much better than "Well it was sort of written as a vouch but Pain has 5000 vouches so it doesn't really make sense for him to be self vouching but I guess this must of been his intention" when self-vouching was most certainly not my intentions at all! I thought my above logic fit the case far better than staffs which is why I was surprised @Sythe didn't overturn this ban. However it's staffs job to try to interpret my actions the best they can and I respect that(Enough that I sat banned for 2-4 weeks versus pardoning right away) I didn't even dispute with Sythe until a week after. I was extremely frustrated that my post was interpreted as self vouching when I knew(and still know) that it was not meant to be a vouch to the point I didn't want anything to do with the forum for a while. I was fucking pissed that first night that something I truly knew I was innocent of that I was now perm banned for. I am still upset because I truly knew my own intentions and I was unable to properly convey all this to prevent a perm ban. I understand however staff discussed and classified this as self vouching which is your right which is why I am pardoning versus disputing with the team(Sythe said no anyway).

I feel I have provided completely sound/reasonable logic and have kept my story straight since day 1-> I did not intend to self vouch. I am truly sorry that I conveyed myself so poorly but God was I mad that I couldn't get across all of the above to staff-> It just doesn't make any sense for this to be a self vouch; Where I went wrong was I thought the case would just be tossed and I didn't bother writing the massive explanation/backstory that I have now explaining what exactly happened.

I truly didn't have any intentions of self vouching. I know that's how staff saw it but I hope staff will consider my above logic/explanation in your vote, I actually feel that I could possibly get unbanned via disputing now that I've explained things in full but I chose to pardon versus dispute with the team for 3 reasons;
1) Disputing takes ages(It's true - I read them all)
2) Sythe already said no(Albeit without nearly any of the above explanation)
3) I am terrified now some ancient offence from when I was a child might bite me in the ass in the future now - It might actually be safer to try to protect myself through a clean-slate pardon than just disputing this single offence-> It's a gamble on my part but now that I've provided a solid explanation of events I feel my pardon should pass without a lot of hassle .

Again my sincerest apologies for the self interacting and the stupid post I made on Olm. I hope this 3-4 week ban is viewed as more than enough penalty given the explanation of events I've provided. I understand staff were just enforcing the rules and that all of this was my fault and staff are not to blame I do hope though that the interpretation of event that lead to my ban has now changed for all of you as I truly had no self-vouching intentions I just conveyed myself very poorly.

Hi - Has there been any progress on my pardon/discussion? If there is a discussion or something than that's fine I'd just like to be kept updated if possible . I feel like a 4 day wait is reasonable before asking for an update. Again I feel as though my story in OP explains everything far more than self-vouching even comes close to. Wondering if I even need to continue with a pardon or if staff will just consider lifting the ban. I've served 3 weeks already. If I have to continue to pardon than that's fine but I thought my perm ban should at least be considered given my perm was on the basis of self-vouching and I've provided a much more valid story to explain everything and I know it was not self-vouching which I've said from day one.

Has there been any update on the discussion(if there is one) or what is going on with this pardon? I don't know if I should be hoping for a straight unban through it being lifted or if I should be hoping to get a pardon through or what at this stage. I tried to pardon before the Holidays because I know so many staff will likely be gone on vacation or away for the holidays so now I'm just wondering what(if anything) is happening with this. It has sat for a week now which is fine but considering I don't even know if anyone's read it that an update would be much appreciated.

 

Well. I am going away for the holidays on a trip and than spending time with family so I wont be here until the 26th or 27th. This has sat pretty long. That will mark 2+ weeks of just sitting there. I don't know what's going on or what is taking so long but I've of sat banned a month by the time I get back, 5 weeks at the earliest if my pardon clears. That's a LONG time. If someone could move this along or tell me what's going on, much appreciated.

Hi. I'm just writing an update ; Today my last off-site punishment was suspended/lifted ; as you can see all I did was link PB staff this pardon and my TWC was lifted(I didn't speak to them at all individually or anything). I think this supports my logic and what actually occurred pretty well. Still waiting to find out what's going on with this.

Good thing pardons are being handled quickly. This has been here for over a month now, so I guess now is the time for me to just handle this myself because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

It's impossible to pardon for previous offences if you've not been reported for- and you're not admitting to any others.
