    Paranormal...Dogs?

Soo Today... I went to the vet. and put my Chihuahua dog to sleep. She was blind. and had a sever liver disease, She was in my arms when she was put down. And the worst part was i felt her heart ... stop. Worst experience of my life.

My other dog Tinkerbell who is 2, She hasn't been wanting to be near me sense. She wasn't really close to Butchie (my other dog). So I'm positive its not like she missed her. or realizes that shes gone. But when I was going to bed she always follows me and lays underneath the covers immediately. and tonight, I went in my bed. sat there. and she wouldn't come. She wouldn't come when i called her. but she came when my cousin called her. She didn't want to lay with me. or have me touch her. Then, she'd get up and leave the room. I wanted to see where she was going. And she was laying on a pillow that was on the floor shivering... When i walked over to her, She curled up in a ball like she does when i yell at her.

I told her i wasn't mad.. but yet she doesn't wanna be by me. This is very odd. Never EVER has she done this.. Could it be possible that Butchie's spirit is with me? Butchie's ghost? And Tinkerbell see's her? And is sorta frightened?

I know it seems crazy. But that's the only thing that's possible..

Animals are known to be more connected to the paranormal side of things. This could be the case, or it could just be down to the fact of the sense of smell dogs have. Since you were at the vets when your Chihuahua was put down, in a way you could have the smell of the vets still lingering around you which might make the dog slightly scared depending on its experiences with the vets. Yes it could be paranormal or it could also be just a natural thing. Give it a few days and hopefully the dog will come around.

That is hardly the only explanation. Maybe your dog can smell the scent of the other dog, and also realizes that the other dog is not there anymore?

Have you read Where the Red Fern Grows cause this kind of sounds like it in a way. One dog dies and the other doesn't want to live anymore. Like Proc said it could be just that, just give it time although they didn't look like they were close you don't know that.

Even though your dog seemed to not be close to the other dog it still might have been, but I would recommend taking your dog to the vet, sometimes illness can cause your dog to act weird, when my dog had a fever she wouldn't come near anybody she would just lie on her bed shivering.

Also a dog can't see spirits, I believe the argument for this was since a dog doesn't know what a ghost is they can see it. Many people believe they see spirits because many people have caught their dogs staring at thin air/ chasing nothing. Most of the time a dog is chasing light, or a small insects.

As I said before i would take your dog to the vet and if your vet says she is fine just try taking her around other dogs to play with.

Best option is it to take it to the Vet.
