Painkiller: Hell Wars

Anyone remember this game? Well I personally was nowhere around during its release.
I came across this game one day searching through my local game store, I had recently beat Doom 3 and was looking for something of a similar caliber. So I saw this game and since I had never even heard of it I thought it was one of those second rate time killers. I payed $10 for it and I left the store on my merry way to play my new game.
I would not be prepared for the pure awesomeness this game holds, the second I put in the game and start up the first level, I'm greeted some badass music, a bunch of zombie knights rising from the ground and a weapon that shoots a boomerang lawnmower blade. The game continues to just amaze me with the architecture of the map layouts and this game being purely about just going around and killing everything in sight. (Also having some of the biggest and awesome bosses I've seen in awhile even by today's standards)
So what has this game left me with? A needing feeling for some games to use this one as a mold. Also, because of the nostalgia factor now settling in i think this game will always and forever be on my top 10 list for finally being a game where the only question I had through the entire game is "Should I kill them with a stakegun or rip their guts out with my hand held lawnmower?"

So my question is, have you ever played this game? Or any painkiller games for that matter, (im only using hell wars here because its the only one ive ever been able to play) and what was your impression of it?

 

This is the game where you go around destroying Demons/Devilish Fiends, right?

The one I played had Demons/Devilish Fiends. If I do remember correctly.

 

Yeah lol, demons are leaking out of hell in specific areas for an army lucifer is creating.
