I decided i cant charge for this, but i cant let out my secrets at the same time...so ive removed the deep stuff and will be adding more soon!
    Enjoy :)

    Table of contents:
    1. Introduction
    2. Naming your character
    3. Staking stats/ settings
    4. Fighting
    5. Scam prevention
    6. What to do with your winnings
    7. Other Tips

    Section One - Introduction

Staking is currently the most profitable method of making money in runescape. Unfortunately it comes with some huge risks; the best way to narrow down these risks is to know what you’re doing. Being a good staker can range from picking the right name to clicking at the right place at the right time. There’s many ways someone can gain huge advantages, making his/her chance of winning a match a lot better$$$. Enjoy 

Section Two - Naming your character

Don’t worry if you have already made a staker, the name is not incredible important but can help a considerable amount. For some, making a staker AND a decoy account is too much work and in that case just skip to section three. If you want to build a good staker you want people to have a hard time figuring out your stats. To do this a appropriate name must be chosen. Unfortunately the o and zero trick no longer works but there is still one way of deceiving others. The way to do this involves playing around with the number of spaces in your name. After you have done this, make a second account with the same name but one less space.

    Example: p-------yro and p------yro

Make the name with less spaces your decoy account (bad stats, 43 prayer…and attack/strength/defense all around the same level…make sure this account is the same combat level as your staker). Spaces are small in runescape compared to letters so generally people would think that p-------yro has 4 or 5 spaces. They would enter this into the highscores and nothing would show up. Generally they’d think that this is no problem and a easy solution to finding your stats is to just keep adding spaces till stats show up. After adding a couple spaces, stats will finally show up. These stats will be your decoy stats and since they are so bad your opponent will fight you thinking he/she is fighting a rich noob (when on the other hand there fighting a pure staker).
NOTE: There are other name tricks, with the help of another sythe member i found a new type of trick name that i have never seen before :)

    Section Three - Staking stats

There are many varieties of stats that can be used to make a pure staker. After reading the suggested lists of stats you will get a general idea of what to get, feel free to customize your stats based on what’s given. The one thing in common is that a pure staker ALWAYS has 1 prayer. This is because 95% of stakes are fought prayer off. Currently the most common combat style used for staking is melee, so it would be best to make an account that is good against melee. Here is a list of the different types of stats that can be used and the staking rules that should be used with them. Also, high hp is a big advantage in staking so get it as high as possible. Also remember that HIGH stats aren’t always best as this may scare some people off if they are able to look up your stats, generally I like to get 79 or 89 as my max level for a skill. Anything 90+ will terrify quiet a few people. Ammy is optional for all fights but if you want to fight ammy on make sure your using a FURY ammy (don’t ever use gloves).

-Things crossed in blue mean optional-

    Melee -

Whip staker: 1 defense, 70 attack, 80+ strength (higher the strength the better)
    What to use: whip
Who to stake: people with low strength
Note: you may also turn on specials and use dds, once the specials run out switch to whip.
    Rules:

Dds staker: 1 defense, 60 attack, 75+ strength (higher the strength the better)
What to use: dds, after specials run out use dragon scimitar or drag long.
Who to stake: People with low strength
Note: it’s very important that you practice changing from dds, after 4 specials, to whip.
    Rules:

Veracs staker (low level): 70 attack, 30-40 strength, 70 defense
    What to use: Full Veracs
Who to stake: People with less then 70 attack or less then 70 defense
Note: it is crucial that helm, body, legs, shield, and weapon are all on or else Veracs special wont work and you will loose the fight.
    Rules:

Veracs staker (high level): 70-80 attack, 85+ strength, 70-80 defense
    What to use: Full Veracs
Note: it is crucial that helm, body, legs, shield, and weapon are all on or else Veracs special wont work and you will loose the fight. This type of staking is dependant on how often Veracs special takes place.
    Rules:

Torag staker: 75+ attack 30-50 strength, 75+ defense
What to use: Full Torags with whip no helm/ helm on with crystal shield
Who to stake: people with low attack/ defense.
Note: make sure at least shield or helm is off of you opponent could use Veracs, causing you to loose the fight.
    Rules:

Boxer: High attack and defense, low strength
    What to use: nothing
Who to stake: people with low attack/ strength
    Rules:

    Range -

Rune knife staker: 1 defense, 40+ range
    What to use: rune knives
Note: this may be risky because knives are so inaccurate so I don’t suggest it as the following types of range stakers listed. Rune knives hit twice the speed as any other weapon making them very deadly at times. Sometimes a match can be finished within 5 seconds with rune knives but a majority of the time they will hit lots of zeros. If u are a lucky person then try it out.
    Rules:

Obby ring staker: 1 defense, 60+ range
    What to use: obsidian rings
Note: Very accurate and hit faster then a whip and almost as hard. Generally 99 range will beat 99 strength armor off. This means that you may stake range v range OR range v melee and be successful at both.
    Rules:

Crystal ring staker: 70 defense, 60+ range, decent attack
What to use: Excalibur special, then switch to crystal shield 10/10 and obby rings
Who to stake: people with less then 70 def or less then 53 agility.
Note: trick your opponent by wearing a magic short bow before the match, it makes it look like you want special on so you can use your magic short bows special.
    Rules:

Torag range staker: 70 defense, 70+ range, decent attack
What to use: Excalibur special, then switch to full Torags and Karils bow. If boots are turned on use ranger boots.
Who to stake: people with low defense/ range (less then 70 def)
Note: This may seem strange to use melee amour while using range to fight but Torags range/ melee defense is so high that it is defiantly worth it. This is great for staking against both range AND melee (if staking against a melee make sure helm is off)
    Rules:

    Mage -

Don’t mage stake, it is so random that there is no way of making a way that will guarantee you a win. There are few mage stakers and many people loose billions to it, the odd person gets lucky/ uses programs or bugs and makes tones but it is not for you. If you can’t hold back from mage staking, here is some stats you can choose from:

80-85 mage, 1 defense, high hp- use blood blitz (ice blitz can be used, movement on, to freeze melee opponents so they can’t hit you).

92-99 mage, 1 defense, high hp- hit twice with blood barrage, once with blood blitz twice with blood barrage, once with blood blitz, etc… (ice barrage can be used, movement on, to freeze melee opponents so they can’t hit you).

50 mage, 50 attack, 1 defense- use Iban blast (snare can be used, movement on, to freeze melee opponents so they can’t hit you).

For freezing and attacking from afar:

    Section Four - Fighting

First hit- this is the most important part of a fight, getting the first hit in a fight will increase your chances of winning (depending on your combat level) from 10-40%. PRACTICE getting first hit by challenging your friends over and over. The basic way to do it is click as soon as you see one, there is other methods that u might find out as you go along (taken out)
Fighting- removed, lets just say attack style may matter :)

    Section Five- Scam prevention

About 20% of the people at the duel arena are scammers, and even legit stakers throw in the odd scam to try and trick you. Before a match take everything in slow motion, never get caught up in clicking things over and over and quickly pressing accept. Once the rules to your fight are set, count to 7-11 and then click accept. Look over the second screen thoroughly and if all the rules are set to your preference click accept again. Here are some general things to remember:

    • Never let mage and movement be on at the same time!
    • Never ever put potions on (even if you have potions on you)
    • Never put food on
    • Never put gloves or ring on (unless you have barrow gloves/ recoil ring on you)
    • Never stake more then the other person unless your stats are 10+ better then theirs.
    • Never stake someone 30+ combats lower then you, they are scamming or using a bug.
    • Xlogging only can occur in world 2 so be careful.
    • Never stake obstacles on (dragon hally, range, mage tricks can be done to you)

Section Six - What to do with your winnings!

Keep 20% of your earnings and spend the rest on discontinued items. View the following:

The colors of the lines represent party hats (the black line is Christmas crackers). As you can see discontinued items have a tendency to always go up in price. This is because no more discontinued items will ever be added to the game, and a couple are lost every day. The main reason for the increase in price is not because the number of these items decreases every day but because hundreds of millions of runescape GP comes into the game every day. This makes runescape GP loose its overall value but non-renewable items go up in price. People like to buy discontinued items as a way of showing there wealth, so as a result they are highly merchanted. Merchanters always want to make money so they sell things for more then there worth; this also pushes up the price of discontinued items.

    List of Discontinued Items:

    • Christmas Cracker
    • Blue Partyhat
    • White Partyhat
    • Red Partyhat
    • Green Partyhat
    • Purple Partyhat
    • Yellow Partyhat
    • Half Full Wine Jug
    • Red Halloween Mask
    • Blue Halloween Mask
    • Green Halloween Mask
    • Santa Hat
    • Disk Of Returning
    • Pumpkin
    • Easter Egg

    Other tips:
    - Be stubborn with your rules, YOU make the rules; don’t let them be in charge.
    - Wait 6-15 seconds after the rules have been set before you accept then, don’t rush a match EVER.
    - Be patient, finding a good fight can take a long time, but its better then loosing.
    - Weekends are the best time to stake.
    - Try staking at different times of the day to meet new stakers that don’t know your tricks.
    - PRACTICE! and have fun =p

    p y r o 214 - Staking Guide

thanks pyro, i made my pure staker off your guide, its really usefull for anyone who wants to get into staking =p

the thing is i disagree with your verac staker (low) its not always the best, i have a friend with same stats as me that uses full verac, he went up against same tank ranger i did 70 def 80 range, he got owned and lost 100k, i used full torag obby shield whip ect and won.... its not always best sticking with full verac just because the def bonus isnt high enough

also heres a trick for the name.... some people forget that the new rs 0's have a line through it (happened to me) and the guys name was 3--31-o6 i was constantly typing 3--31-06 and i could not understand how i was being tricked, because he had a decoy account. Finnaly i staked him and lost a few mill.... i just thought i should add that in there =]

Thanks for reposting this, it's a great guide, I'm building a low lv verac staker off of your idea, 60 30 40 atm. You were smart to save your guide in a document, I typed my guide to puring straight onto sythe and when the hack happened I lost my guide. :(
