P Mod Talks About Detection System.

As if.. Jagex can't scan you computer. If they could the ban rate for all bots would hit the sky. And as others said Jagex isn't spyware.

Jagex can't scan our computers from a distance unless we are their victims to a rat or something. Also, RSBot and Kbot use BCEL, but that does not mean they modify the runescape file.. Scan through every bit of code RSBot and KBot has, you will see it won't edit that file. This thread is complete trash.

 

Notice how it takes much longer to load the first time you play, or when you play on unsigned? Thats the cache at work. It isn't a whole folder, it's just one file created by the game for use by the game. They access it constantly even if you never bot. You wouldn't be storing any personal info there.

 

jagex wouldn't tell P-mods anything, it'll get easier leaked, he's bull-shitting.

it would make sense that jagex atleast checks if any running programs have a title with "bot" in it or something,

That would still be illegal to check which programs you have running.
Also, theres alot of other programs that has bot in it

They are a player moderator for a reason. They get access to information that us regular members do not have. Pmods know very little about Jagex ""bot detecting"", they're just there to 'monitor' the game...other than that they have no authority.

I know the official jagex line is that reporting a bot "activates the bot detection system and legit players have nothing to fear". That doesn't mean it's true, but thats what jagex tells everyone. Pmod was probably taking that and running with it.

 

What Benwise said is much more probable, as checking the integrity of the cache is much more basic than "scanning ur pc l0lz."
