P-Hats/rares

Do you guys think that there is any possibility that these items will be actual 'rares' again? I mean, if there was any chance, wouldn't it be no surprise that jagex would have it on the down low? These items have a lot to do with the future of 07scape.

 

i think there gonna raise in price but not be rare ^ thats my hoard

 

I don't believe so, due to them releasing more and more rates every event and I have a feeling if they got to high in price they would just flood the market with them

Nope. By the time they are rares (10 years), no one will play RS, well at least old school. Also, far too many people hoarded them because of their past potential on EOC.

 

Yeah unfortunately now that I think about it, I think that too many people are aware of how rare they got on RS3 that they have begun hoarding them...not to mention the fact that everyone got 2 partyhat sets from the christmas event

 

There is too much in the economy for it to ever be rare again man.

 

The recent Christmas event already brought thousands into the game and jagex said they will be releasing em every year. Also it takes years for these rares to become rares and by then there will prob still be thousands and thousands even if the game is still active. So to me the possibility is really low

 

There's way, way too many of them in the game right now.

 

Exactly this. + we wouldn't have any more players after a couple of years.

What about Disc of returning? Jagex said that they would release the rares with corresponding holidays.. what holiday is a disc of returning? haha

 

I was really hoping that Jagex would say "We are discontinuing them, we obviously couldn't tell anyone that we had planned that all along because people would hoard them!"

However, the most recent Christmas event confirmed that Jagex is very retarded, so no worries.

 

This here is pretty much what I was thinking. I heard merchant clans were hoarding them and alching piles of them to rid phats from the game making them well.... rare.

No, "rares" will never be rare in Old School. Jagex has clearly stated they don't want to drive the price on those irrelevant items up for no reason, and they recently backed that up at Christmas and Halloween. Thank goodness.

 

I don't think they'll ever be discontinued or worth a ridiculous amount, but I think they will go up a bit in between holidays.

 

They'll only go down during the holidays Jagex stated that they would be re-releasing the said rare on their specific holiday

 

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. In the 'off season' they will rise a bit due to hoarding etc. When events come back around, and they're released again, they'll fall right back down.

 

No chance to ever have these to become "rare".

Now they're just pointless hats anyone and everyone can have.
