over 30 year old RS players?

my grandfather plays runescape, hes retired and he got 99 mining lol. i know a few people over 30 that i play with irl

Might sound stupid but a place you used to find the older players was at yew trees cutting and talking away, not so much thesedays

it used to be like soap opera down there with drama, i met a women i play with regularly down there, shes about 44 with 3 kids

 

haha, he doesnt play as often as he used to.

 

Yeah i have someone added she's 42, maxed player, also a player mod.

She just enjoys playing the game in her free time.
If she enjoys playing it then why not

 

Yea everyone who enjoys playing the game doesn't matter the age , they have the freedom to play it.

 

Although for the most part, the demographic of RS players is younger kids/teenagers, there are in fact a small amount of players who are much older.

I remember having a friend in highschool who used to play RS with me. His grandpa used to always wonder what we were doing on the computer and so he started watching us play, and it wasn't long before he made his own account. Keep in mind this is a guy who doesn't know A THING about computers or video games, and he had his own Runescape account

The funniest part is that he was not a noob either... he doesn't play much anymore but he achieved some big things while he played. He has 99 mining, fishing, and cooking I believe, and is close to a few others :laugh:

Multiple of my good friends on RS have children. I'm the odd one out. I guess it is because the ones I spend time with are mature and thus older.

I know a lot of older players...

Some are 60+ guys (one I know started to stay in touch with his grandson, so they would have something to do)

i know a girl who is about 40-50ish and plays, plus her son plays...I also know other older women...

I tend to find older women that play tbh...but that could be because I am in a clan run by an older woman xD

 

I once knew a kid at school that had almost every family member playing alongside with him.. even his grandmother.

 

Now you remind of something haha... I was once in the catherby bank and there was a weird level 90 - 120 there can't remember the lvl she was ..

But i added her and she talked pretty weird.. she told me she had 2 kids. I can't remember anything more.. xD

And this thread wasn't about having anything against older people playing... it's just freaking AWESOME. I got my uncle (he's born in '74) to create a acc.. he's a wow player so he quickly found it boring and dumped the lvl 3 he created. My mom once went on my level 3 "84626" and traded for me .. she was running around for a little while before finding RS boring haha..

 

I was in a runescape clan like 3 or 4 years ago whose clan owners were a husband and wife and their 14 year old son was in it also, fun times back then lol.

 

The nerd in me would of loved to be in that clan back then lol

 

My ex-friends dad played Runescape and he was around 39 at the time around 5 years back. He was this range pure I remember. I know for sure that alot of older people play this games. It really doesn't matter. I mean there are adults who play Xbox in many different age groups etc you know. No limit.

 

Father of 2 and I play. Im only 21 tho and have played on and off since classic lol.

 

I'm 44 and I play RuneScape.

 

I know a 40 year old woman that's been playing RuneScape since Classic, and till this day plays still, but she's married and obese.
