Our band, how bad is it? :[

ehh.. you can get better and maybe think about gettin' a new singer no offence but to me he stinks.

 

Vocalist Blows, Guitarest blows (I could play circles around him), drums are a bit too loud.

 

Listen to the actual song and then to there version, the vocalist actually did a good job.

It has already been stated that the kid has only played for like 2 months or so, and he is doing fine for how long he has played. within the first 2 months depending on how dedicated you are a lot of people are barely getting power chords etc. down, he already has a song under his belt. On top of this just by his posture etc. you can tell he doesn't practice standing up much which is one of his biggest flaws.

As for the vocalist He did quite well. he has nice tone and sang the song quite well.

Simply because you can do something better than someone doesn't mean you need to brag about it. I would be willing to guarantee I can play 100x better than you. but that means nothing. stop trying to act superior to others.

Yeah, you need a bass. And I won't say your guitarist sucks, he just needs a bit of practice. Also, try checking out different areas to play in.

e.g. Moving the amp around.

You shouldn't be afraid to ask. (unless you really really suck )

Well, it's ironic how you say this as you act superior. You probablly suck at the guitar, and I am 99.9% sure I am better than you are. Oh also-again, more irony because you just bragged. You should read what you write, hypocrite. Also your deaf if you think the vocalist is good. Green day sucks anyway, so it really doesn't matter what he does. A kind suggestion, offing is always an option.

There is a difference, it has been stated already he is a beginner cut him some slack. Going by the way you act I would say that I have been playing guitar for as long as you have been alive.

But seriously, why are you afraid to make some videos and post them of you playing? Unlike you not everyone is ignorant and is rude to people based on ability and looks etc. as you have already shown one and I am sure do the other as well. If you can't do videos maybe do some recordings?

You can say you're better all you want but the fact is I have already shown my proof of some of the stuff I can do. and as for megamatt I have never seen him play or heard him play but I can almost guarantee he can play better than you.

Like I said i'm not going to bother. Besides making a career out of a band (or guitar) would be a terrible mistake. Get a real education and a real job. Deadzone, if your in a band it is not well known and you are a failure. I would guess your gpa is in the 2.0 range, either that or your not in school and you live in a rundown appartment. Me, well my GPA last year was above a 4.0 (enriched written and other classes boost it), and i'm going places.

 

Lmao, making your band well known isn't the easiest thing to do in the world. Wheres this well known band of yours, if you are not a failure?

 

Clearly, you did not read my post, I said making a band is a stupid idea, and if you do in the end you just end up being a failure, reread the post lil' buddy.

 

I have been in many bands, and many of them are quite well known in there region(s) I choose not to try to be in a big famous band because I can't dedicate that much time to it. I have a family to take care of among my job etc.

About the only thing I have ever thought about doing is starting up a music shop in which I can sell music goods and also teach guitar on the side. I tested this out by teaching my cousin and a friend how to play (my little protege's ) and they are doing fine. I am sure they can play better than you as well and have only been playing less than a year.

As for my house what would make you think I am un educated or that I live in an apartment? I'm not still mooching off mommy and daddy like you I actually never had that luxury. I had bought my first house at the age of 15 (from my uncle for 8,000 usd made payments) when I was emancipated after that I sold my place for 32,000 and moved around a lot. making money from these "failure" bands as you would say, and finally came back here a year and a half ago With my family and bought a 3 bedroom A frame with 3 acres of land on it. all from those "failure" bands, and my current job. So please tell me now what have you done with your life thus far?

As for my education, you're correct I am no longer in school a year after I was emancipated I had twins with my current gf and droped out to support my family. So no I may not be ivy league material but at least I have pride to know I can take care of my family. Come back and talk about life after you have lived some of it young one.

From the sounds of it you tried to make a band and were not good enough or did not know how to promote yourself right so you instantly think it's a waste of time. You must learn the game before you can play it.

No, bands are a big waist of time. Why don't you try and get a real job, or go back to school. I would never start a band, thats just gay.

 

You definitely tried and failed, or have never even tried to be in a band (if you even play a instrument or sing etc.) Being in a band is one of the funnest things you can do. when you got crowds of screaming people wanting more it's line an adrenaline rush. If you think thats gay then you're a idiot.

 

Agreed, even playing guitar in front of a croud at school talent shows feels like an adrenaline rush, I couldn't even imagine how good it would feel playing in a band.
