OSRS GP price post duel arena?

If Jagex does decide to remove the duel arena, how do people envisage this affecting the OSRS GP value?

Obviously buying/selling volumes would decrease, but would the $$ price of GP raise of fall? Thoughts?

 

Jagex is well aware of Gold trading and I am sure they would like to keep it that way. It is something that makes people invest time in the game (be it create stakers or duel) and with duel arena gone, OSRS would just sink into a black hole.

I could be wrong but I believe staking is a very big factor that players get attracted to OSRS or RSPS's

 

I mean, theoretically, if Jagex removed the arena, what do you think would happen to osrs GP value?

 

probably go down initially as people who are solely there for staking would dump it and after some time it might rise to ~ 0.4/m maybe
