Bought an account 8/2 from this user for 160M. Everything was fine, he didn't give original email because it was a personal email.

Fast forward to today, I go to login and PW is changed. I still had the PW change email i'm assuming because they used a manual recovery. I got the email around 4am, while I was sleeping.


I proceed to message the user, which you will be able to see in the screenshots, he claims it wasn't him, yet somehow the email is set back to his original email that he owns. He then says, "oh wait maybe i was compromised."


TLDR is most likely user scammed and is now trying to play dumb, it's highly unlikely that he was compromised, and if so, he should still be at fault.

I sold the account to this user on the above date, none of those screenshots are altered in any way, shape or form.

I am at fault for the email being compromised on my end (What I assume happened) and I have said to the user I would be willing to refund the initial price of the account (160M 07) or have him create an account on his end so he would be the owner of the email and all security information associated with the account and train it up to the same stats.

I don't know what else he wants from me in this situation, I have offered what I can for the fault and I'm sorry for what happened on my end.

 

@Wortel that was just a PM to a clanmmate about collating for an in-game item showing him I didn't have anywhere near enough to collat for it.

What @PsychoticTrades is proposing is in my opinion not just. I'm still losing the 90M that was on the account.

 

Sorry to double post, obviously I can't keep the account so I do agree that 160M refund is in order for the account. But the in-game wealth should also be replaced.

There was no reason for me to shift any gp off of the account and you can see that I haven't made any GP sales on the market. I can show another SS of my mains bank if need be.

 

And as I said before, I don't know how much was on the account at the time of compromise.

I told you I would be more than happy to refund that also if you could give me sufficient evidence gold was on the account closer to today's date which you messaged me.

You showed me a screenshot of one week ago which is more than enough time for gold to be moved elsewhere.

 

How does any normal person prove that? The only reason I took a bank pic in the first place was because my clanmate (vulwyn) asked if I had collat for the item. I showed him I did not.

This is an updated pic of my main account. You'll notice the bank went up by 50-60M. You can see that on monday I purchased 60M from @prizford which they should be able to confirm.



There should be an additional 90M here if I transferred it, and if I were going to transfer it (since I had no reason to believe the account was going to be hijacked by the user) I wouldn't have bought gold in the first place.

 

I don't know what you want me to do about that honestly.

I don't know how much was on the account at the time so how can I compensate when it could just be a random amount you're throwing out there.

 

Where would the gp have gone? look at crystalmathlabs or something and u can see all the account has done in the last week is mining. You continue to try and play dumb here saying "i have no clue where the gp could have gone" when we both know where it went.

Again, there was no reason for gp to be moved from that account. 1 week ago it had a 95m bank (as noted in ss), and today after it was recovered the bank is gone.

 

Alright man, I have offered what I am prepared to.

I'll leave it to staff to decide the outcome.

only has to pay 70m out of pocket.
sells account on another forum for 200m.
130m profit.
repeat.

 

If that's what your thought process is then alright buddy.
The account won't be reused nor will it resold.
You can continue to type away, This is incredibly boring.

 

also very coincidental that he leaves a vouch for lrug dord saying he has been selling him gold 2 hours after the account was recovered when he doesn't have any recent sales for his services

 

Just because there's been no vouch as of yet doesn't mean services haven't been complete, Next accusation please zzz.

As I read the initial post this is all too similar. I purchased an account from psychotictrades and about a month or two ago it got recovered. I, stupidly, used it as a bank for my skull tricking ventures and had collected roughly 500-700m on the account over the past few months. When I spoke to him about the password not working I asked him to recover it for me. It took a day or two for the recovery. I don’t want to throw blame at someone without knowing for a fact that he recovered it, but i don’t know who else could have hacked me as my email has never been hacked and i’m smart enough to avoid phishing scams. :s the rebuild has been real since. Might have some random photos on my phone that relate to this situation if interested. Just throwing a personal experience out there. PsychoticTrades is a nice guy, but the email for the account was personal so it wasn’t given and that felt a little sus, and a day or two to recover was weird, but makes since for the amount of junk that was on the account. I was constantly at max bank limit. Ps, it’s my girlfriends account. We sit by each other and skull trick daily. She was so sad when the password wasn’t working. The name changed multiple times, i’m guessing with the bonds that were on the acc. Last name that was given was Look South. Very strange. It’s ptsd for her because her first acc about a year ago I botted and she had 40m (which was a lot back then) go to waste with a perm ban x). Anyways, just my experience. Don’t know if he’s guilty or not, but I accept my L nonetheless for buying an acc off the blackmarket of osrs :s best of luck with this case, boys!
