Are you willing to pay a bit to secure you account?

    Heya,

Regarding to this thread I was wondering if there was any support for my idea to make it able for normal users to pay for their own sent sms while using verification. Since staff is now working on sms verification for them selfs it's maybe useful to have this thread to measure the amount of people who're willing this idea implanted.

As off now Grave replied also on the original thread agreeing with this idea:

    Discus please.

If it saves big trades from loosing thousands from hackings, sure why not.

Personally I wouldn't, I'm quite confident nobody will ever hack me/know my password. But I can see from a business perspective that the risks are high with all the user interactions you do, so would be a good implementation. Those using it for business means could probably spare the payment required too.

I think at least offering the option would be nice. Nothing would really be lost if a few people here and there wanted it and paid for it through Sythe...

Offering the option is a good idea, but I wouldn't opt in. I am fairly happy with the security of my account. For business users this would be fantastic.

This is funny, anyone could be hacked by a talented hacker dont delude yourself you and everyone else is at risk.

OT I found the duo verification extremely annoying when it (apparently as a glitch) was imposed on me, then again i get on sythe to derp around a bit and waste time. For those of us who sythe is a major part of them making their living i think it would be a worthy investment, and worth the little amount of irritation considering they have accounts trusted with thousands of dollars and a much higher risk of being targeted by a hacker.

    Tl;DR support

Although I'm don't do much business as some of the big gold traders, I honestly wouldn't mind paying 20 cents+ for my account to be secure so I don't mind.

    Support.

Some positive replies already. How does rest of the staff thinks of this?

Of course there are, I'm not stupid. But with the same breath all of us are at risk of being hit by a bus every day, yet some of us are at less risk than others by being careful.

I said "quite confident" I wont get hacked, not "I will never get hacked". That being because I am always over-cautious about links, sites etc etc. I am aware there are talented hackers that could eventually put my account at risk, although why they'd want to hack a low-profile user like myself rather than someone with a gold business etc, I don't know - which is the point I was getting at when I said I personally wouldn't use it but I can see why someone with a business would.

    Depends really, on some factors..
    - How much it would cost
    - If i felt my account was in jeopardy, yes.
    - If i was a big trader, yes.
I doubt ordinary users would pay to secure their account, as its probably not worth securing in their eyes. just my opinion though, am looking forward to seeing what the staff say about this, good idea :D

This could work if say you were about to trade and the person you are trading with wants to confirm it's you.

Even though I am cutting down largely on trading, I would do this regardless, as it's not how often you trade, it's how badly the hacker can use your reputation.

Would be good for anyone willing to pay the fee, it could probably be implemented through the donation center.
