OptimusBot - New, Free *REFLECTION* Bot

This is rebrading of Xbot, they decided to go with a different name (notice the xbot url redirects to optimus bot)

I have looked into the code and have found a few bcel references, although not so much as rsbot contains. Perhaps they mean the majority of function are made through reflection, as opposed to ALL.

Having used the bot, I can confirm, it works well, and I have seen and made my own good progress reports. It does seem great.

It has a lot of potential and I believe it could turn out great, depending on the developers.

The scripting (i have tried) is very simple, and a 50 line script has proved flawless to me... thats quite impressive no?

It is however, very similar to rsbot, but then again, google was similar to other search engines, but better? Surely this could do the same again.

Try not being so cynical :D give it a try and make up your own mind.

    My problems
    - Sometimes login fails
    - Already kids spamming and asking for moderator on forums
    - No antirandoms :(
    - Mentions of Bcel
    - Slow
    - Account already stored in there
    - About 5 different source folders in the bot, weird.

    The good
    - Easy to make great scripts (flawless!)
    - Great potential
    - Great start
    - Open Source
    - Reflection (mainly)
    - Scripts easily portable from Rsbot.

I've still yet to get it to work. :p But from what I could see and use, this bot does indeed have great potential as you said. Also, we must not forget that it is very early, it is in it's first (maybe second?) public release. I could see this bot ruling all soon.

Yeah I would have to say, they should have ironed out the bot before release + advertising. Hopefully the next version will be solid.

As for potential, since this bot functions (if it does according to what the makers say) in the same way to RID, our scripts could become as good. The only limit is our scripters abilities.

I would also like to note, I found 14 references to bcel when searching the ENTIRITY of OBot. Furthermore, ALL of these were in the main loader. Perhaps this is just for the main window's functions?

I've read your post over at OBot, and from what I understand I think it's probably indeed just for the main windows functions. It would be really nice if one of the two admins would comment on this over at OBot.

Excuse me, I hate to be off topic but I require some kind of assistance. My dad blocked Runescape over a year a go, leaving me to play on runescape using proxy servers only. I cant run RSBOT because the runescape window cannot load because of the fact that its blocked. Can this run with runescape being blocked? My father uses some sort of special Netgear block that blocks through my IP adress.

@Mol - Not currently, since the bot doesnt use proxies its likely your dads ip ban will be transferrable, shouldnt really work on any proxy either (dont believe you can proxy the actual runescape java client that easily?)

@El_Diablo - The staff are active and have been contributing members to the rs cheating scene for quite a while, the bot is great and they are happy they made it. Why wouldnt they update ^_^

I really hope they expand on this and actually reach the Rsbot level of popularity.

Hell, if they could keep their site from being hacked every two days, they are already better in my opinion.

Thanks for responding babler. I was wondering why can we auto on rs like the good old ways... by having a program but not a client. Like someone would have an rs screen running on firefox. I hear that rs can catch u if you run a client

Clients are unsafe because they use BCEL. The reason we use client's instead of normal web browsers is because to auto on web browsers, you need to use your normal mouse, so you can't downsize the bot.

No. You don't need to edit the client to dispatch mouseEvents to it, but you do need to load the Applet so that you have something to dispatch the event to (if it's loaded in a webbrowser, I have no idea how you would dispatch a mouseEvent).

Only to make the rsclient graphics extend my own (if somebody shows that this is detectable, I'll change it).
