Opinions on Monkey Madness 2

Anyone finished the new MM yet? I'm short of the levels to complete it being a 1 defence pure so wanna know if it's actually any good.

Heard that you can make bank by getting ballista parts from new apes?

 

from watching streams it looks really cool GFX wise but super long

 

I was pretty impressed by how well made the quest was. It was a bit on the short side (took me ~4 hours on release day, it'd probably only be 1-2 hours following a comprehensive guide) and somewhat lacking in the lore department, but that was kind of to be expected with how few devs were working on it.

As far as the drops go, even if you only get one rare every few hours or so, the gp/hr still averages out to be fairly high - though probably not as much as you'd get from Zulrah. I think the zenyte crystal is actually rising at the moment, but I'd expect all of the prices to drop significantly over time. If you're planning on camping the gorillas you should probably look to do that sooner rather than later.

 

Time to train some stats so i can get to the gorillas then i guess! Thanks for the input mate.

 

I haven't done it yet but will do once I get 70 agil/thiev. From the streams it seemed really awesome.

 

I've seen alot of people bigging it up since i posted this thread, ingame and elsewhere!

Looking forward to trying the quest however getting thieving to 70 makes me question whether i am actually gonna get there or not - hate that skill more than anything on this planet.

 

I havemt started it yet, but are the rewards any good??

 

Yeah you get like 25k in loads of skills like slayer etc and im pretty sure you get the choice of 50k xp in two skills [which could be 100k xp in one skill]

then you obviously get access to the gorrillass which as mentioned already are profitable, all in all sounds appealing to me!

I didn't have any problems doing the quest at 63 thieving, is there any particular reason you're getting 70? I might have just gotten lucky on the traps though

 

I enjoyed doing the quest , i had 59 thieving and didn't fail anything

 

Looked quite good when I watched people complete it. The new gorilla monsters that come from it seem like td's.

 

I haven't even started it as I don't have the reqs but I think it's awesome they're starting to add NEW quests into the game.

 

Just finished it, was very well done and exceeded my expectations

 

Planning on doing it one of these days on my main. Just need to do a couple of pre-req quests. MMI was my favorite quest back in the day so I assume MMII will not disappoint!

 

Yeah, i think the poll system is a great way of them not spoiling the game.

Gives them an indication as to what players ACTUALLY want - and monkey madness 2 is an outcome of the poll system!
