Possible rule addition

I noticed impersonation of moderator/admins was not on le offical rules.

Should definitely be implemented, because you know there's always going to be that one ass hat that will impersonate and cry that it wasn't on the rules.

But yes, a LEGIT attempt at mod impersonation should be put in the rules. However, it's a common sense rule that might not need to be written.

 

Like any other forum, rules like these are self-explanatory. Just looking at the rules, 'imposters' or impersonation is a bannable offence. No real need to add it to the rules

I kind of agree with you. But that would be like me getting on skype and pretending to be Divica. or making like "DivicaBob" account.

Different from saying your a staff member, especially when we know there are some sythe.org users that would fall for stuff like that

 

What you're suggesting is a rule that's something like "pretending to be staff" which is extremely difficult to pull off without outright impersonating a staff member (covered already under the no impersonation rule). You'd have to have a sythe account already and do something like publicly post "I am a staff member" or put it in your signature and I can't see many people falling for something like that. I just don't think this warrants its own rule

impersonating anyone is against the rules. It's bannable. You fake being a MM, you impersonate a trusted member, you get banned. Fuck, what more do you want?

 

Regardless of whether it's a staff member or a regular member impersonation is already against the rules, this isn't a needed addition

Forum rules cannot, and will never include every bannable offence to the letter, as they are subject to change or interpretation.

If somebody is legitimately imposting or pretending to be a staffmember and uses this to their advantage or does this in harm of the other party, please do report them.
