I honestly think that buying/selling is acceptable but with the need of having an OMM to do a recovery check is outrageous. Because as the oMM checks if you give " full info " to an account you're Selling, the " Buyer " will think that " oh this guy gave me full info and I think its safe because i'll just hack it back". From a buyer's point of view, You're already risking that the " Seller " won't recover the account but he gives full information, the OMM won't hack your account if he does a Recovery Check but this could be avoided by simply not HAVING a recovery check. So yeah both the trade goes out smooth, the Seller never recovers the account but uh oh... the OMM just got banned on sythe and jacks all of the accounts that he's done using recovery checks here in sythe but what are the odds? I havnt done research on if any OMM's been banned here but there has to be at least 1-2. So if that really happens, whose to put the blame on when the buyer's account is recovered since the oMM knows info and the seller knows the info So that is just my assumption/opinion about how I really don't like recovery checks. I honestly think that we don't really need a Recovery Check because its a waste of time for the Seller and that at any time under circumstances, the buyer might just flake or something you never know.
My way around " recovery checks " is this simple step of buying/selling.
For Runescape ONLY
Once theres an agreement with the Buyer and Seller and an OMM.
Buyer gives " Currency/RS2GP or Virtue Money " to OMM
Seller and Buyer goes on " TeamViewer" with the buyer.
The Buyer watches everything the Seller does
The seller writes all the info on a notepad
The seller writes an Appeal " Recover a Stolen Password "
The Seller Copy and Paste every single information and add it to the appeal.
The Seller Finishes the Appeal and then copies the tracking # and so should the buyer too.
The Buyer now waits until it is accepted, knowing that the account info is valid.
The MM gives money to the Seller when the Appeal is Accepted.
Trade Completed
