    An odd thing?

I have slightly more power than a sectional in the RaS section? I can close my own thread after a sectional has handled it but a sectional cannot close it?

Was this purposely added or accidentally?

    An odd thing?

I have the option to close and sticky a thread in the Report a Scammer section, and I don't even have the permissions there.

Maybe you're just allowed to close your own threads in the Report a Scammer section, but I never realised you could, I don't know.

Hmm the admins need to look into the permissions again. Something must've gotten messed up there somewhere.

Maybe they give you a hidden rank because you file a lot of scammer reports, IMO

I can close and open my thread in the RaS section also. It's been like this ever since I joined Sythe.

    An odd thing?

Nope. Just locked another one of my threads. Odd. If you give us permission to lock, why not give us permission to move it to archive too? Saves time I guess.

And I thought this is clashing with the "we're not giving normal members mod powers" thing.

I don't think you're meant to be able to do it.

    An odd thing?

I suppose not, as it was not there a while ago and if it was meant for us to use it, it would've been announced. Did an admin check the thread yet?

From one of the above posts, Finn viewed the thread.

I can't look into this right now, but as far as I'm aware, it isn't intentional. I'll look into it later unless it has been dealt with. It's possibly a usergroup error, but as far as I can see, you're not in any additional usergroups.

No problem Finny. As far as I know, it only happens in RaS section. Good luck.

    An odd thing?

    Finn says:
And someone reported that they are able to lock their own thread in Report a Scammer
    Matt (DaRk NiGhT) says:
    that is possible
    Matt (DaRk NiGhT) says:
    i believe
    Matt (DaRk NiGhT) says:
    on purpose
    Matt (DaRk NiGhT) says:
so if someone posts it and its resolved they can lock it themselves
    Matt (DaRk NiGhT) says:
should be an indication to us to ignore it
    Finn says:
    Ah
    Matt (DaRk NiGhT) says:

    An odd thing?

    So we can do it?

But if you give us perms to lock our own thread in RaS, then wouldn't it be reasonable to allow us to move our own thread to the archives? Is it even possible to create it such that we can move it ONLY to the archives and nowhere else?

    An odd thing?

I'm Assuming "Matt" is Matthew - Administrator.

If this is the case, my personal opinion is allow us to lock/archive our threads, however only with the permission of the Moderator handling the case.

So by saying "Banned, Thanks. Please archive/lock, etc."

    An odd thing?

Or how about giving the mod that replies to the thread the option to do so.
