Old School RuneScape: Price Guide

Thought this was interesting and a few Sythe users could benefit from this.

Basically it takes players offers of what they are wanting to buy or sell their items at and it plots the recent data of this on a curve and shows the average price people will pay with an upper and lower, similar in fashion to the grand exchange. It also shows the high alchemy value. This is continuously updated by all the players' offers so it is effectively community driven instead of having a clan monopolize things insisting that an item is definitely worth one thing when other people have a different opinion of said item's value.

Went to zybez to check my PM's and saw it as an announcement type of thing. I have no use for it but I could see the potential.

Saw this and there's also a FC for it, but I can't remember what it's called. It's a brilliant way of adding something, it's like a G.E for players .

Tbh, the guide is off for like 300-1m for a lot of the matched items, it's only accurate for lower priced items IE:seeds/pots/rune armors/arrows

Rares/ are not worth looking up.

 

You should post the link to the oldschool combat calculator as well, i think tip.it has a backup of it's oldschool calc.

The prices are determined by averaging what people are willing to buy/sell an item for. With more expensive items having less demand there are less offers for them. Due to this the sample size is reduced and therefore less accurate. Since the prices are always based on popular opinion however you will always find people that want to sell above/below this price due to being unaware of the "set price" or for other reasons.

Some trolls may also just randomly input offers into the price guide to screw with the average price.

 

As of March 15th, account validation on zybez will be necessary to add to the price guide. This will improve its reliability.
