Oh my god...school

Because I was extremely behind my school work,

And if your feeling lazy, Your possibly not getting enough sleep.

Man and this is only freshman year? Freshman year is the easiest just way till
your a sophmore and even harder when your a junior. I suggest you get into
good studying habbits right now or your really going to sink when your a sophomore/junior.

Dude you are too young for senioritis.

Basically think of it this way:

If you don't do your hw in highschool, and you graduate with shitty grades or don't graduate at all, you will probably not get into college. And if you don't go to college, then good luck finding good paying jobs. The median income for high school dropouts is $18,990, and for high school graduates is $28,763. While median income for 4 year college graduates is $50,916.

20 years down the road you are going to regret slacking off and are going to wish you could go back and do a few lousy homeworks, so the rest of your life will be easier.

What you do in highschool will affect your future, so don't fuck it up.

^^ yes, but not so much on the marks you get, but your work ethic. if you keep up your poor work ethic now, when it comes to getting a job, getting a degree what ever youl still have that bad work ethic and will fail.

Haha, school. I guess I should go back, I've done nothing but play Final Fantasy 10 all holidays! (I'm serious =/)

Anyway kiddo, the best way to get your marks up is to study hard. Find a way of studying that works for you. If you like doing hands-on stuff, I suggest you find a way to make the subjects you're bad at a bit "physical", so you can learn it hands on.

Keep a journal of when your assignments are due, study 2 weeks before the assignment, and a week before start getting notes of what you remember (if its an essay) or start working on the actual assignment.

If you plan ahead, it does actually help out. Though, 9th grade is piss easy, I'm in it at the moment, and I was hoping for something just a tad harder than 6th grade, you know?

Rob someone elses project/homework and cross their name out. :)

Once i stopped playing runescape my grades went up.. Alot..

dude...Just cheat if your lazy to do your work thats the only option u got or just drop out of school...

I'm in the same situation as you. What I usally end up doing, is doing my HW and watching TV/Browse on computer at the same time. Like I do HW for 15 minutes and then look on computer for 5. Usually keeps my going.

Wow. Now that's a good idea. I'm in the same situation and I might start trying that.

If you have other skills in life that can get you a job then don't worry to much about getting good grades, just try and pass. If you don't know what you want to be though, and don't have much other skills, then try as hard as you can at school. It helps to do projects as soon as you get them, putting it off until later just makes you have to worry more until you get it done and it will usually end up a lot worse.

I'm going to be straight up with you. Become responsible. It's not that you can't do it, it's not that you can't get past wanting to be a lazy ass. You would just rather do that, and now you see the outcome. You have to realize sitting on your ass isn't going to get you anywhere, you need to study, do homework, pay attention, and work hard. There's nothing holding you back but yourself...

Ok so I'm a freshman/grade 9. First semester went by fast and I did great in most classes...but I failed Algebra 1 ( make fun of me all you want ). That class was super easy until the last 2 weeks of the semester because my fucking teacher skipped 4 chapters to "get it out of the way". I went from a B to an F in a matter of 2 weeks. So now it's coming close to the end of the first quarter of second semester and I think I'm failing or doing horrible in most of my classes except for PE, Art, and Spanish. I don't know what happened to me I just started feeling extremely lazy...I never do my homework and I usually wait till the last minute to start a project thats due...I'm a fuck up now. No I don't do hard drugs or anything like that. I try as hard as I can but I just can't deal with all of the work... My mom fucking goes crazy when she gets my report cards/progress reports and takes away every privilege I have. What can I do to improve my work habits? I'm just fucking thoughtless.

Sit back, Think of a motive, Repeat the motive, Do your Homework, When you want to give up, think of the motive again. That is what keeps me going. Granted, I've never had homework problems, but I used to do it literally the day it was due before school.

Then I thought, if I'm not getting good grades because I'm not doing my homework properly, then I won't make it into a good college, and consequently, won't make a lot of money. Call me greedy, but that's my motive.
