Oh Bama’s Obby Maul Pure Guide

In this extremely detailed guide, each process will be divided into simple steps that will help you create your very own Obby Mauler.

What is an Obby Mauler?

An Obby Mauler is a type of pure that usually focuses one one skill, strength.

Ideal stats for an Obby Mauler are

1 Attack – This is usually the case for most, unless you want climbing boots.
High Strength – This is a must, no explanation needed.
1 Defence – This is a must, no explanation needed.
1 Magic – This is usually the case unless you want to use ancients.
1 Prayer – This is usually the case unless you want Ultimate Strength ( 15% bonus )
High Ranged – Still keeps combat low and is used to weaken your opponents.

What are the goals for an Obby Mauler?

-Hit high
-Amaze lower levels by killing them quickly
-Just own


The map is where certain locations are. The numbers are the step that involves that location.



The number is the number of the step and its location.

The inventory is what you would bring when you go pking or when your training. I don’t suggest bringing lobsters just yet. You would put your 2h in the empty spot and the strength potion helps you train faster.



Ok well now that I’ve given you some detailed information about Obby Maulers I will now provide you with a guide that is separated in parts.

Create your account
-Chose an original name Eg. Cmbt So Low
-Stay away from numbers Eg. Obbymauler24
-Don’t make your name 1337 Eg. T3h0bb1M4ul4

Complete the tutorial.

Drop all of your items given after the tutorial.

Find a higher level to provide you with 5k.
-Hello (their username) may I please have 5k I’m making a new pure.

Complete the Stronghold of Security.

Complete the Stronghold of Safety.

Take the money that you now have and head to the Grand Exchange.

Buy two sets of full iron, two iron scimitars, two iron 2h, two strength amulets, 2 capes, and strength potions ( optional )

Head to the chickens north of lumbridge castle.

Train strength until level 15 at the chickens.

Head to the cows east of lumbridge castle. Make sure to bring food.

Train strength until level 20 at the cows.

Head to the monks west of edgeville.

Train strength until level 45 at the monks.

Try to become member at this time if able.

If you are a member at the time, head to the Grand Exchange

At the Grand Exchange, buy 2 red topaz machete, 2 iron boots and a glory amulet.

Also make sure to buy teleport tablets if your magic is 1.

Teleport to Camelot and head to the rock crabs.

Train at the rock crabs until 60 strength.
