Nvidia Driver Problem

Hi guys, Updated my Nvidia drivers today to GeForce 320.18 once they installed I went to go play a few games and noticed my FPS had drop to 13-15 when I would normally be getting 150-200 no problem.

I have tried downloading some older drivers but it didn't fix a thing. I also tried a system restore 3 days prior and that didn't fix anything which is weird because i wasn't having this problem 3 days ago.

Any help would be appreciated

 

installing a old driver on-top a new driver doesn't work, do a clean install, it just may be the new driver isn't the best version for your current setup. it could also mean you need to clean out the dust from your pc.

or you may just be running a bigger load then normal.

 

Nvidia now gives you the option to do a clean install now which i was using so that's not the problem. And this problem started occurring literally just after i installed the updated drivers so I'm pretty sure it's driver related.

 

did you do a clean install of the old driver?

could also be something got messed up in your game settings.

re-install the driver, then do a reboot and run the game without opening anything else and check your settings etc and see how it performs.


also what is your setup/game your running?

 

Yeah, I did a clean install of the driver. I have my original driver disc that came with the card when i bought it, should i give that a crack?

 

perhaps, is the old version not working at all or what?

 

So far so good. Looks like the problem was malware, Stealing my GPU cycles to mine bitcoins.
