Unfortunately that's all it takes. Just saying it was a virtual trade.

I would contact your credit/debit card company and request a chargeback there. It's your best option.

She would be better off having her dad filing as unauthorized and say his daughter used the paypal without his permission, that's considered unauthorized. There really doesn't have to be any chat or website payment to prove it's for a virtual item, filing as item not received was more than likely a mistake.

She paid with funds from her PP account.

Could work, but PayPal could simply turn around and say 'you are responsible for your PayPal account'. Pretty sure they've had that story loads of times with the "it was my brother" story.

He hasn't even replied to the dispute yet, I highly doubt he will within the next few days because I can escalate the claim on the 10th so I'm hoping it was one of those paypals just to get money sent to and spent and never again touched.

You shouldn't even be able to charge back a payment unless you've prepared your payment to look unauthorized to PayPal. Which is illegal.

Why do you think I didn't go with the unauthorized chargeback? Why don't you read the whole thread before trying to make me look bad.

PayPal is useless as it is, I doubt they really care whether people tell the truth or not on there. Unauthorized disputes only go through if the IP is like on a proxy on the other side of the planet or something.

@Chloe - If he doesn't do anything about it or doesn't take any action, then the funds are automatically returned to you. Don't be surprised if you lose the dispute though.

Call the credit card company and have them do a chargeback. Will hold much more value to PayPal coming from the company and not you.

I don't try to make you look bad.. Why do you always think that negative. My point was that unauthorized dispute probably wont work in your case.

And yes you are right I didn't think about any other kind of dispute.
