Not sure if I ran into a scammer... :S

So here is what happened...

I agreed to sell someone some Neopets items/NP, and since they linked me their vouches on here I agreed to go first (maybe that was my bad). But when it came time for them to send me the payment they went offline. Before that they were asking me to confirm my Paypal email address. Right after I wrote it out for them they went offline, and I haven't seen them since.

Did I get scammed? Should I report this? Or should I wait before ruining this person's rep on here? This person does have a lot of posts so I thought they'd be legit ... but right now I gave away my stuff and they didn't hold their end of the deal. So I'm wondering what I should be doing. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Ok. i love mm is the person who scammed me. I do not have access to post in the Report a Scammer thread but I see someone already posted one just a while ago. I second that claim. I never got my money and I just lost my items/NP. I'm not gonna bother with a formal process or whatnot. I've highlighted this in my thread and I advise against trading with him.

 

You really should post a scam report with as much proof as you have to make sure he does get banned. It may seem boring, but it will be worth the effort.

Also, if you go around telling people not to trade with this guy and he isn't banned for scamming, then you will be infracted for accusing someone of scamming. That means you really are just better off reporting him.

 

Just file a scam report against this person, it's the best thing to do.
