Grave's ban.

**I was originally going to post this in Staff Feedback, but I thought there'd be no discussion that way since certain mods love stopping discussions there.

Regarding Grave's ban and to all staff involved, I understand he has been acting like a dipshit this past couple weeks that still doesn't warrant a ban, when I first heard of his ban I thought he actually posted the info, but he just LINKED a PUBLIC whois lookup of r2p's site. If you whois my site, you'll see my info, simply because it's a domain that I don't care for and I don't want to pay for whois privacy, I understood the risks when I registered and left it public, and so did R2Pleasent, the domain registrars make it perfectly clear that if you have no whois privacy your info is public domain.

When Govind posted my personal info from my old website whois, a year or two ago, this was not an issue. I understand that Grave has been becoming a nuisance lately but I don't agree with his ban.

Even though I know you guys have probably discussed this to death in the staff lounge, I'd love if you guys could make the reasoning behind your decision public, but that may be asking too much considering everything on Sythe is hush-hush.

I sorta see where you guys are coming from with the fact that people on Sythe wouldn't have known his whois info was public, but Grave's ignorance to the fact that this wouldn't be treated like it was in the past doesn't equate to malfeasance.

Also, Grave did not ask nor tell me to post this. If this ban was for a logically-sound reason, this wouldn't be an issue.

 

The staff need not make our reasoning public. What I posted in his dispute is all you are going to be getting.
