non virtual price check idea

Managing wouldn't be hard maybe once every other months if that. it doesn't have to be every single item just the more popular ones (iPhone, iPod, Xbox, Ps3, and what not)

you dont have to use the price, it is just so people know an average price for the item. (hence the price check thread) this is just a list to go at the beginning of the thread so it is easily seen and used for quick use by people looking to find out what to sell/buy an item for.

 

Honestly, I think that comes down to opinion. I'd be more willing to pay a higher price if it means I'm more likely to have the product turn up in the condition promised. You're also forgetting all the other factors of price, such as condition, time of the year (Christmas they may be more popular), how the value of items goes down over time, etc. It's to subjective.

 

I definitely agree with this post, I think that a non-post count forum section for this would be better, as people could manage it as and when.

 

The problem is when the "average" is set by the max and min price sold in the last X amount of time. But when the difference between max and min is too high, there's no point.

I've seen $500 products go for 20% of the price, or 80%... Then when we are talking of products worth $50 or more, the difference is just way to high and the realistic value based on the products details and conditions isn't real anymore.
