No integrated gpu?

Okay, so the mobo I have doesn't include integrated graphics. I was wondering if that could be a problem. Would my Asus GTX650Ti work just plugging it in? Or do I have to find some way to get the drivers in their blindly?

 

most of your Motherboards nowadays DONT include onboard graphics anymore. That's a thing of the past. Nearly all processors nowadays have integrated GPU's on the processor die. The ones that don't are simply expected to be put together with a dedicated GPU, like some of the FX-series lineup.


all this is null and void if you're running very old hardware though, like the pentiums of old. I would hope you aren't subjecting that 650ti to such a pitiful bottleneck as an old Pentium 4 though.

 

It should work provided the motherboard supports it. Any modern motherboard today will support a 650ti.

 

Yeah you should have no problem. But some more specifics on your PC is a must to be 100% sure.

 

The 650 Ti will work somewhat once you plug it in. Enough to get drivers that is.

 

What will your operating system be on your computer?

 

It will be on windows 7. 8 can go suck a fat one. Lol

 

Also make sure your current power supply is able to support the added GPU, you don't want to be using some old 400W PSU with a new Graphics card!

 

Windows 7 comes with stock "universal" drivers that work on pretty much any graphics card. When you boot you might be faced with a terrible resolution and not much performance in the graphics department, but this can obviously be fixed by downloading the proper driver. You will not be going in blind.
