    Well, coinbase had to give up any customers info that exchanged more than $20k in bitcoin to the IRS during 2014/2015 i believe. Coinbase will probably be among the first exchanges to proactively report to the IRS in the future.

    Also, coinbase's tax tools recognize SENDS as SELLS but they dont recognize RECEIVES as BUYS. Its just a mess, my mind to too fucked up right now to explain more.
