I'm looking so sell some video game items (obviously i'm on sythe.) so I recently opened up a paypal account. I don't want any of my information to be showed to my customers any time during the transaction so I made a paypal business account. My question is, can they see my real name and address if I use a business account? and can you gift business accounts? thanks.

From my knowledge, no matter what account you create you will find that your first and surname will be disclosed to all people who make transactions with you.

yes they can still see it if you use a business accountalso you have to use your real name in order to link your bank account or credit slash debit card to your account your customers are in titled to know your name but if you're selling something it's not required that they know where you stay so course that doesn't have to show but if you're buying something that require shipping yes they are required to know your name and where you stay but I'm sure you can talk to pay Pal and see it is absolutely necessary.

    1. If you use a business account, your first/last name will not be shown when receiving payments. The customer service phone number and business name are displayed when sending or receiving payments. If you send payments, obviously they'll receive your name and address.

    2. You can send and receive "gift" payments with a business account, yes. But don't let this fool you and think a chargeback isn't possible.

Best advice: Get your account verified. Bank verified. They cannot see your account details. Also in cases of chargebacks, if your account is verified, all cases will lean in your favor.
