bro i got the wii u soley for the smash bros, was addicted for like a week l0l so worth it

 

Who did everyone used to play in melee? I main jigglypuff, but also play sheik and ice climbers.

 

I hear it's all the rage, but to own it, is buying a 3ds or wii u worth it? This is really one of the few I'm ever interested in

 

I love going Kirby, Zelda/shiek is alright, I do like the fact that she can teleport, kirby is my main choice though.

Played the first super smash bros to brawl. The series is one of the best Nintendo games for me.

 

Me , I main Samus and played my first tourney tonight went 2-2

 

Was about to make this post, not sure if you follow the competitive smash scene.

I'm a competitive player from the UK, mostly playing Melee / Pm and Also commentating across the country at various events.

Any of you guys play competitively? I play with some of the UK's best and starting to stream Melee and PM practice, for anybody who would be interested in learning then hit me up

Piramid where are you from? Depending of course on your skill level I can help with Falcon, I play a lot of PM Falcon, thankfully a lot of it transfers back over to Melee. (Sheik main in Melee)

JMG, Did you attend Meltdown? Also part of UK smash group?

Fox/Falco, Pikachu was another favorite as well.

This has changed. My ice climbers game is only okay against lower tier characters/players .. my sheik is usually just a counter pick to Marths, I main jigglypuff with a pocket Falco .

As long as you learn desyncs and hand offs then you're icies game will be strong. ( don't wobble )

Sheik main, Pocket Falco for Fox MU, Sonic main in PM.

All of which take sets off the top 10 in the UK so i'm not too far behind considering how long i've played in comparison.

Edit: For anybody interested i'll be streaming some smash lessons, probably starting Monday with a few test sessions before hand.

Ah Roy... So terrible in Melee. But a solid top tier in Project M at the minute.

Melee is better. Slap anybody who says other wise.

Melee is a lot faster, characters move faster, fall faster, fun faster, act faster.
Brawl has random tripping mechanics. Meta Knight is a game breaking brawl character because he's the only one who plays like they're from melee.

Project M is a mod of brawl intended to make it more like Melee. Characters are not floaty, balance changes, buffs and even additional characters.

probably harder to see differences without playing both of them..

Smash 4 has similar problems to brawl, removed tripping though and also giving us balance patches. I think smash 4 is a terrible game but at the moment nobody in my region is far ahead of the meta, so I just win tournaments with fundamentals from other games lol.
