Correct all dicing titles

First of all, I don't want anybody to take any offense to this as its not a directed attack whatsoever.

Secondly I'll clarify that it doesn't make a HUGE difference in odds either way. But I've noticed after playing some dicing with someone that all of the titles state 53x2 - yet the games themselves are actually 54x2.

This just seems like a very odd concept to me that's all. Either way the odds are against you and you enter into it knowing that. But why would it be called 53x2 if its not actually 53x2? If you roll a 53, you do not get x2. Therefore you're quite blatantly playing 54x2, as that is the role you need to x2 your money.

The titles are just oddly misleading, this isn't completely outrageous or anything - its just odd.

My simple suggestion is that if people are claiming in their title to be playing games of 53x2 (or whatever the numbers may be), then have that match the game you play. It's not a clever rouse, its just an outright lie that then needs to be corrected in the original post once inside the thread.

TL;DR lets just make the titles of dicing threads actually match the rules of the games.

 

No offense meant to any of my dicing friends. Either way people are still going to bet on your games. It just makes sense to avoid any (justified) confusion.

 

Titles are usually set from the final number of the roll which you can lose/tie at. Each host makes their own rules to specify.

Really, before rolling everyone should ensure that they know the rules the host provided or at least ask the host for help.

I don’t really support this change as common sense should rule out any misinterpretation.

 

I do not think we should allow misleading titles. That is like having a thread selling handmade accounts when they are botted. The seller may disclose the information once the buyer reaches out, but it is still misleading. Support

 

Correct leaving out very key important information to manipulate a sale or such is just bad, it should be always taken into consideration as the consumer shouldn't once have to or feel the need to reach out on stuff.

I've had people ask me if we hand train services despite it listing hand trained, so you further more answer not just say "oh bro check my threads"

 

Totally agree. It's not like its a huge problem, it just seems odd when people say that there are different thoughts as to what the title could be perceived as. It's pretty clear if its 55x2 then its stating 55 is x2. Its only slightly misleading and either way there should always be terms confirmed inside the thread.

But just because people specify terms inside a thread, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't have titles match those terms. I just think it would be a good statement to make towards the acceptance of misleading titles on this site.

But alas, it looks like its already been denied previously. So we'll just have to see if anything changes.

 

After reading that other thread, no matter what support this gets its not going to change either way.

The response it got on the other thread after majority support was basically "It doesn't matter what the title says as long as the inside of the thread states what the actual rules are".

So in that case, I'm gonna host some 10x2 dicing. If you roll over a 85 you win. Any takers?
