New Site background & design! #2

Sorry about the previous thread didn't know I have to show an example of a picture.
This is assuming that a gif can't be done for the background If it can by all means I will post a new suggestion for a background but currently my suggestions for a new background are as follows:

Since the main theme of Sythe seems to be a galaxy/stars (the galaxy being Sythe users and the stars being the Moderators/Admins see what I did there )

Although these are just suggestions, there are plenty of GFX designers here that can probably make a custom made one. I just think the Website needs a change a revamp.
I am sure others can agree to this too.

For the actual layout of things, instead of the standard Blue maybe we could try a different colour? Maybe like a Purple a nice shade of Purple? Or even a Royal Blue rather than the current.
Unfortunately I do not have images in regards to this but I am sure everyone can think about it!
In terms of everything else maybe we can get different icons now a new set of icons for each sub category, example: the Gold exchange could maybe have a Platinum tokens with a figure in green underneath, or the same gold icon but with a max value underneath 2147M if I am correct on that.
Other categories such as League of legends could use the more recent icon.

These are all just ideas in all honesty I want to become an Admin for the website in the future and would like to be there for ideas and also be there for the community, thanks!

I was lurking on sythe for years, it seems like it won't hurt to fresh some things up. optional changes is the way i assume.

You can change the website's background by scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page, clicking this:



From there you can select SytheFlat which will change the background/theme for you.


As for the suggestion itself, no support. Everyone has their own likings and styles, so if anything should change there should be like a pack of default backgrounds you can choose between. This should be on The DO NOT SUGGEST list. aswell, considering any numnut could make unlimited suggestions to change the styling of anything on the website, while their sole intention is to farm posts and everyone knows this won't be implemented anyways.

That is true in terms of peoples own likings and styles, but it's a suggestion and everyones opinions matter not just yours.
My intention is not to 'farm posts' If I wanted to do that I could just spam in the spam forum couldn't I?

Site should be upgraded to Xenforo 2 first and who knows when that will be or if that will be.

As for now, no support. Once the site has been upgraded then I can support this in the future if the background later on is not good.

 

What is the Xenforo 2 by the way? I haven't seen the news regarding that?

Xenforo 2 is the upgraded version of this forum software. Sythe is using Xenforo which is now outdated. As far as any updates for this, I haven't seen any either so who knows when or if it will happen.

I like the pictures you posted. However, I want to say sythe's background has been the same one since I joined the forums. I don't see Richard prioritizing a change on that. There are many other more important things that need his attention first, anyways.

There was actually a competition many years ago, which decided this websites current theme and branding. Maybe a veteran staff member can find that thread. Quite a few old school GFX artists entered.
