New ranks

You guys do know there isn't currently a SFA Mod and one hasn't existed for over a year? By all means suggest a rank, but I don't see someone actually being promoted to SFA Mod at the moment, the section really isn't that active enough. As far as I know it's been merged into Off-Topic Moderator, I can imagine SFA Mod is only used if it's having exceptionally high activity.

 

To my knowledge the position exists its just body has it and i don't think they currently plan on giving it out yet anyway.

Im just posting a couple redesigns on it as a few people suggested it could do with a change .

 

SFA isn't what it used to be. There is no need for a dedicated moderator.

Note that the gold stack usually indicates a donator rank or at least something related to donations. I like your ideas, though.

Yeah i did take that into consideration, thats why i made the stack white not yellow. On the OP Tyro posted a new OMM rank which had a yellow coin stack in the middle, so i thought changing the colour might help display it is indeed NOT a donator rank.

 

Yeah, Tyro's ranks are just rough ideas. Gold stacks do symbolise a donor rank no matter what colour they are, honestly I think the three same rank icons works just as good and saves confusion.

I've also noticed I tend to like the older RS icon ranks rather than the new RS icons.

 

Yeah thats true. Ill look into producing some more retro looking ones rather than using newer content, dislike the idea of using the new dragon kite shield, its ugly. But i do think the dragon square needs replacing.

I wish Tyro would tell me what the text size/font is for the ranks so i can alter the new fun ranks i made, I've had to guess and it doesn't look the same :/

 

I still like the old OMM rank much better and I'd rather not be changing the ranks that designate trust.

Yeah, I like it too, it doesn't hurt to try out some new ideas, though.

 

I'm not too keen on the new omm rank, although I didn't like the graphical update in general... Guess I will get used to it.

Changing the colors of ranks is childish looking, I recommend staying away from those.

 

Only the RS mod and SFA mod ranks are in need of an update, although updating the others with the current party hats could be a nice touch. Changing the whip to a different item in the SFA rank might also be a good idea since one of the new donor ranks has a whip in it.

 

How about changing the middle to a stack of Tokkul instead? I think that would look better than a gold stack, especially considering OMM isn't just about gold anyway...It would go really well with the darker shade of the shield that Obby used.

 

It's about traded wealth, tokkul =/= wealth.

 

It's still a currency nonetheless; kind of suggested that because of the thought that it would conflict with donator status(basing off of that one design).

If anything, just change it to 3 kites then. The original design with sq's looked more to me like safety anyway.
