First Chaotic Weapon: Rapier or Longsword?

First of all I know that this question has been asked hundreds of times but I want to ask this question based on how the weapon will apply to me and it's benefits. I'm so close to 80 dung/200k tokens and I have no idea which to pick as they both have their positives and negatives. Basically I'm going to be using this weapon as my primary weapon so that will be for training, duel arena (only funning), clans wars and all that fun stuff. Personally I like the look of the longsword better and I like the idea of it having a better strength bonus but the rapier as speed. I don't PvM atm but when my stats are higher I will be and please note I don't pk at all.

My main money making method is blue dragons and I'll be fighting these a lot, I know that their weakness is stab but will the longsword be beneficial for fighting blue dragons and other dragons because if it wasn't for this I'd pick longsword hands down so I'm wondering will longsword be any good at dragons such as blues?

I hope someone can help me out stating a reason why because if just comment saying 'rapier' I will simply disregard your comment because you haven't helped me at all. Looking forward to your replies and I will keep check of this thread throughout today so thanks in advance!

 

Rapier, I chose Longsword my first time and whilst it was decent it didn't cut it for me.

The CLS was slow when I used it at dragons and when I bought a Rapier I noticed the difference in exp/money.

You won't regret it.

EDIT: All of the Melee Chaotics are good at PKing so that won't matter.

 

i prefer rapier

 

Rapier for staking/training/pking. Maul for fight caves/duel arena/pking. CLS for bossing and sometimes training, thats the way i see it.

 

Mate you have said you don't pvm at all so forget about cls, your choice should now be between rapier an maul and personally , I thin chaotic rapier is the best no spec weapon in the game, constant high hits, fast speed .. In max strength with dragon defender, fury, zerker you will literally 3 hit blues at your level.

Rapier can be used for a lot more then longsword, too slow for my liking.

 

Rapier is the best option, period.

 

I got Rapier, then CLS, then Maul, then CCB.

I love Rapier for slayer and PvP, CLS and Maul for bossing (maul also for PvP), and CCB for anytime I am doing range (including bossing at Arma <3).

 

Rapier or mail.....rapier is like the muscled crack head of elite weapons

 

all of them are beast, if you like big k0s go with maul, dominance rapier or longsword

 

Rapier is definitely the best all around weapon. Having said that, my only chaotic is CLS and for what I do (safe pvp) it's better than a rapier and I am happy, but if you're doing pvm at all, get a rapier.

 

With your current stats and what you are looking to be using the weapon for I would recommend going with the Chaotic Rapier. It is much more accurate and at your level accuracy is much better then the occasional big hit. If you are maxed out and doing more PVM Longsword is better, but for things such as Blue Dragons you will like using the Rapier much more I can assure you.

Rapier: pvp, duel, slayer

CLS: boss hunting

 

Rapier > everything


Cls for mini-games like castle wars etc.

Maul for pvp

 

i would choose rapier first then cls and 3rd maul.
