new possible way to trade?

I was thinking about this for a while so I'm posting it to see if it would work. What you need is a seller / buyer (obviously) and the seller needs to have a rare item, like a Santa hat. The two people go to a remote place with a general store and the seller sells the rare to the store for like 3gp or whatever. Then the buyer buys it from the store for little money also. Then the buyer either sells it to the seller or on the grand exchange.

**this isn't tested so it might not work.
Post comments if you have heard of this or if you know it works or whatever. And sorry if it's in the wrong post.

Edit: this is more of a question than a "guide." if it works, then yay me if I found it.

The Seller can sell it for 3gp, but remember Jagex's fairly recent update?
In the update when they added infinite amounts, Jagex also made that in order to buy something from the shop, it was priced at the Grand Exchange price. This, obviously, won't work.
I've actually seen it happen b4, some nub was trying to xfer his blue phat from his main to his pure, and realized that he couldn't buy it for 1gp. He didnt have enough cash either on the main to buy it back so his phat just went down the drain.
