New place for account building shops

I think there should be a new place for account building shops,
why?
It would make it easier to find a "build a pure" shop and these shops would get alittle more action, i dont really think many people go into the account leveling threads just to find a build an account thread,
this would help out the owners of the shops

What are your views on this?

 

I support. I keep finding these under level 3-59 section, so naturally, I think their should be a new section for it. Maybe level 3-138?

I don't think a level 3-138 section would work very well. A section that is titled Account Building Shops - or something of that sort - would work well, though. This would narrow what exactly goes in that section.

That nice idea, I see alot of account building shops. There definitely should be a section for this, maybe something like "Custom Accounts" like stated above.

 

Support, I see these all over 3-59 and I think it would be easier to locate these kinds of threads if they had a specific section for them

No support. To be honest very rarely do you see a custom account shop (the only one I know of is Sheymaster's) and not to be rude, but he's not even that successful. Been in business for weeks and less than ten accounts completed. There are really only two major account sellers in the sections..Myself/Kero and Lucster..Lucster basically has a monopoly there, and myself and Kero have sold every account we've put up within 48 hours, and have had 0 negative feedbacks. Both Lucster and my threads are first page for most views and replies. When it comes to most views, less than 10 of the threads there are of members that aren't banned at the moment.

In conclusion, due to the quantity/success of these type of shops, no support.

 

Weasel's point is pretty good.

Basically, there are few permanent shops. Lucster has one; we have one; Sheymaster has one (but is, to be fair, often out of stock); RsProd had one before he was banned. The whole thread section would consist of our four shops. To be honest, we'd probably lose customers because people tend to look in "Pures & Skillers - 3-59" if that's what they want. I wouldn't want to look through that section (for individual accounts) AND another section (for a store that might have what I'm looking for).


There are many other "shops" in the 3-59 section particularly, but these are often just someone selling multiple accounts in the same thread. When they sell them, they close their "shop". To fix this clutter, maybe mods should make/enforce a rule that ONLY accounts from the same section can be sold in a "store". For example, if Bob the Builder's Account Selling Thread is in Pures & Skillers 3-59 but has a combat 90 account in it, the thread will get closed until he removes the account.

 

I do 110% support that..I hate people trying to stick accounts into shops that simply don't belong.

I don't think we can create a market simply by opening a forum. I think this would actually kill the idea of account shops. Those of us who have established ourselves as successful and active account shop owners will have to move our threads to a much less trafficked forum, and sales will almost inevitably suffer.

If this happens, I have no doubt that Weasel and I will close our account "store" (which is mostly just a convenient way to stay organized) and just sell accounts individually so that we can continue to utilize the dense traffic of the Pures & Skillers section.

 

If this section were to be approved then really it would only make sense to make it an account shop section as they both go hand in hand

YES!!!!!!!!!!! lol me being an owner and operator of an account shop, I think this would be perfect, mainly because I account build and skill. I mean, when i started my build-a-pure service, I just chose the 60-99 section because it seemed to get alot of traffic, and because 3-59 is alot of name selling/buying and 100-138 aren't pures. But still, a section for people looking to get a new account would be much better and more specific!, I support

 

I think that's a pretty good idea. It would be simplier for people looking for that type of service to find what they want as they will all be placed together.

Hm. I support/don't support. Account building shops are different than like what Lucster or Weasel/Kero does. Both of those two level their accounts (exception for Lucster with custom orders) BUT they both level accounts they made, and sell them. As for this thread, lets say for example I have my account, and I want a maxed pure. I ask the build a pure shop owner to get on my account and max out my stats. That's just what I think it means.

 

That's an interesting take..OP, could you please specify how you define "Account Shops"?

 

They go in the "account services"
It's not a damn shop, pisses me off.
If it's a custom & selling, they can go into any category of the accounts that are listed.
Obvious placement is obvious.

Second of all, two pages of intelligent debate does not suggest in any way that placement is obvious.


Provide some examples of why Account Services should exist, how it would be different than User Services, etc.
