Unofficial guide verfiers.

Theres like thousands, if not million of people asking in each guide section, "Can i unofficialy verfiy it?", 20 minutes later, they "Verfied it". These people are just abusing (sort of) to get free guides. I say put a rule where no one except official verfiers can verfiy guides, and if they do break the rule, make a punishment (infraction.).

Its up to the person who is selling the guide if they would like to give out a free copy of their guide to a random user. Your guide doesn't have to be verified for you to sell it.

 

Just report them.

 

It's spam, simply report the person saying such things. Doing it multiple times will earn you a forum ban I think.

 

Syed quick question how long would a market or section ban be for if someone was reported for this.

Just read what pen said, but trusted verifiers should be OMMs/Longtime member who are highly trusted. I noticed Hahanerd45 verified guides, he is not a mod, but he has been around a while and is grand master + user educator + donor so I would trust him. It really should be up to the guide seller on who he verifies, and up to the seller whether they trust that verifier.

 

You cant verify a guide if your not a guide verifyer, thats just asking like "Give me a free guide" "Im trusted"

 

Actually I added the unofficial part. Anyway, hahanerd was picked by the staff to be a verifier. It's not like anyone trusted can go verify guides. Moderators and the trusted verifiers chosen by staff can verify, no one else.

 

I had a guide available, I pm'd a few official verifiers it, no one replies, others were saying busy, etc.

People would not want to buy the guide until others have bought it and left their feedback, if a trusted guy would say, the guide is good, and works well, the others will listen to their feedback, and more likely to buy the guide, it is the choice of the guide seller on who's word matters, and who doesn't, the unofficial verifier cannot move it to the verified section, and the buyer can not claim it is verified, so it does not matter.

It's like opening a restaurant and giving out free samples of food, so people have a good feedback on the restaurant, you don't have to get certain people to try that food, anyone can do it, the buyers will decide who's word they will listen to, and the sellers can decide, who's word will help others buy their guide.
