New Life for Runescape?

Since the launch of Runescape classic, Runescape has always been changing throughout the years. With the addition of Runescape 2 or just Runescape as we know it, many new changes have been made.
The graphics were updated, items were removed, and items were added. Skills were added into the game and features such as sleeping was removed from the game. Some updates came with scrutiny
and objection from players.The riots in Runescape after the removal of free trade and staking and player killing will never be forgotten as long as Runescape lives, players were outraged and many quit.
Some wondered if Jagex would ever be able to fix the horrible mess that they made in the eyes of many players. Jagex however didn't let the outraged players stop them from trying to improve this game.
Over the years they added, removed, and improved many different features. In February 2011 Jagex did something no one ever saw coming after a massive poll held by Jagex Player Killing, Staking,
and Free trade were all brought back into the game. This brought back a good amount of the players that 3 years ago quit when Jagex removed their freedom to do what they wish in the game.

Up until now that may have been the biggest update they possibly could of done to bring players back into their dying game. But now with what Jagex is calling the biggest update they have ever done. Could
Jagex possibly breathe life into this game once again? Jagex will be introducing an entirely new combat system in Runescape one with duel wielding and special abilities. Their plan is to completely redo how
the combat system works, and to make the combat triangle a lot more fair than it has been in past years. Just hours away from the opening of Jagex's new Beta, could this be the update come September that
breathes new life back into Runescape? If you asked me just a couple of months ago how much longer do I see Runescape surviving I would of told you maybe another 2 or 3 years tops. But this maybe just the
beginning for both Runescape and Jagex. If this new system works, and works well then Runescape still may have a bright future after all.​
