New investment for whips?

do you think it would be a good idea to buy a bunch of whips and then sell them when this new "whip vine" comes out, it seems like a really good item to have, better spec, better stats

 

Probably a good investment if people haven't already started doing it. Most likely they have, get in on it fast tbh...

 

Well if the vine is trade-able then THAT'S what's gonna be going up and down in price OR if the combined product (whip + vine) is trade-able, same thing.

 

well, knowing Jagex it will probably be untradeable, either way I think whip will rise but if the vine is tradeable, not as much

Ehhh, 5 attack levels is sorta a lot for most pures to want to level, so chaotic weps are still gunna be used

 

Gonna rise slightly, and drop, = dont sell, dont invest

 

Maul is still devastating in a KO combo. Chaotic purrs won't go anywhere, plus getting 80 slayer on a pure is difficult.

 

such a small market. gotta have 85 atk + 80 slayer and find the rare drop.

not many people gonna be able to get it for a while = less demand

it will probably rise because of hype though.

 

I agree that whips won't rise much. What level 80+ slayer account dowdy already have one? Whips are being brought into the game by the thousands because of better bots, and there won't be much more demand to compensate the huge influx.

 

OHhhhh, no wonder someone was so eager to buy my whip for 1.4m.

Isnt the spec supoosed to poison them? Cant wait to get one+the vine. Hopefully its tradeable..training my slayer now. 76/80

 

no the poisoning is random, they haven't told us the spec yet, the only let down is poison damage doesn't give any exp =p

As soon as it was released all the people got a head start.

Bought 15 whips at 1.8m and sold 2.2m each.
Can't do anything even close to that anymore. Max 100k profit if you're lucky.

UNTIL the update that is, not worth investing in though, they wont go up above 2m.
The reason they wont is because word spreads quick, and almost everyone can afford at least one whip.
Everyone trying to invest in 1 thing = epic failures to ensue.

 

I've just heard about this update havn't read it on the runescape site myself yet, but have they released stats yet?

Because I'm thinking you might waste all your money, then jagex doesn't even make it much better?

Just my opinion.

 

Whip will rise no matter what due to this update. If you want to play it safe you can sell it the day before or the day of the release. If you want to risk it for possibly even more profit, monitor the ge charts every day after its release.
