Spent quite a few hours creating a new avatar a few nights ago and just got it up. What are your opinions? While I'm here, I may as well ask opinions on my new site at http://radiantgfx.com too! Thanks guys
I like the look of the avatar, and the website! However when I clicked the link the first thing I saw was a spelling mistake, you've got "we'l" instead of "we'll"
Yeah I noticed the spelling errors - there are a few Unfortunately, I lost the PSD, so I'll fix it all when I come up with a new slide design
Looks awesome! How do u make the avatar bigger than allowed? It always says can only be 80x80 resolution...
It looks alright I guess. I don't think avatars should be so detailed, it looks like you made it in larger scale, and shrunk it down. Doing this method will cause you to lose 60% of that effort you put into it. What I mean is, you can barely see much of what's going on, it's not crisp and defined. I suggest starting with scale specified, that way you won't make the mistake of overworking on it. I also suggest trying a 2D avatar, use vectors and sharper lines to make it pop, because all the fancy pants glows are making it look cloudy and faded. It could also do with a bit more contrast, throw some more darker tones in there, it's awfully bright. As for the website, I think it's pretty nice. Only negative is that it's pre-made lol
The avatar looks pretty nice, but I would recommend removing that animated snow? I think that's what it is, Because firstly, it's hard to tell what it is, secondly, it keeps freezing for me, that may be my computer, but I think it would be better to remove it, The lighting effects are nice, the cloud effects kind of obscure the text though, Try making it clearer. Good luck.
