New Always Sunny is a bit disappointing

Of course I can't complain that a great show is still running, and I do still love it, but it seems like some of the key elements that made the show so funny have started to dwindle. A huge part of the show was the interactions between members of the gang. Their confusion, frustration, and general emotions were so perfectly portrayed in the earlier seasons through the way they talked and reacted, and always had such character-distinct creativity (Here's a good example). Now they're just taking the most notable qualities of their characters and letting it completely dictate how they act. But for as long as the show had been running, you can't blame em for trying to keep character development going.

Also, it may seem petty, but I miss the lower quality camera and flat color corrections. yeah yeah I know it's a bitch thing to complain about, but you can't say it didn't maximize that 'terrible' vibe.

I disagree entirely. The creators have managed to create a show which is continually absurd and hilarious, expanding upon the absurdity of each preceding season by pushing at the boundaries of television. This is a show which has added entirely new characters, completely changed the physical appearance of actors (eg. Fat Mac), and transformed a misanthropic group of friends into a gang of drug-addled, insane, murderous, secretly closeted, alcoholic degenerates. I, for one, am excited to see how much lower the characters can get.

 

I completely disagree. Case and point will follow:

Charlie: Frank, you said this was a dry cruise, look at all this over here *points to orange juice*
Frank: Charlie that's just Orange Juice
Charlie: What, like the mixer? why would someone drink just mixer?

The newest season comes out this january and im fucking STOKEDDDD

 

To me, everything post season 9 has felt very fake and artificial. It's like they just decided to make it predictable and stopped trying to get creative. Like I said in the original post (300 BC), I still watch it, it's just nothing like how it used to be. My favorite season by far was 5. Their characters had developed enough to be understandable and the episodes drew you in so much. Not like it matters though, its what we've got at the moment. Charlie Work was one of the best episodes in the entire show.

Yeah, season 11 woop woop. First episode was terrible, that last episode had me dying. That'll probably be a pattern.

Also OC is getting google fiber and its gonna be fuckin LIT

 

They really don't do enough around Charlie and Dennis. Honestly, Dee and Frank get too much screentime

 

I liked it, thought the plots were interesting; Frank's amnesia, for example.

 

Its not terrible.

 

Man they could make the entire show about Frank and I wouldn't give a hoot. He makes me laugh all day.
