I think it actually does because transfer times would drastically change for worse.

Roughly 83% of Americans were against the repeal. FCC received over 20 million requests to keep it in place and they still chose to repeal. It's really scary since it just proves that the billion dollar corporations truly run the government.

Thats true but congress probably won't let it happen. Too many people are speaking out about it along with multiple states suing the FCC.

I’m curious. Do you guys support the ability of private companies like Twitter and Facebook the right to censorship? Or even Sythe? If you do, why doesn’t Comcast or other ISP’s get those same rights if they’re private entities? I’m seeing some double standards so I want people who have these views to elaborate.

Well we don't pay for Twitter or Facebook. We do pay for Comcast and the other ISPs. Companies such as Twitter and Facebook can do whatever they want. However, if they do too much, people will just move away same as they did with Myspace.

Companies you pay for still have the right to censor if they are private. And your argument of “if you don’t like them, you don’t have to stay” is relevant for all private organizations.

It is not relevant for ISP's when most Americans only have the choice of 1 ISP and can not simply leave if they don't like them.

I am glad I live in Europe lol. The EU even passed a law regarding net neutrality in like 2015.

Katana's links show the poll, regarding the 20 million requests it was stated during the FCC hearing.

I don’t support the repeal but we have to be more specific. Do private organizations have the right to control their media or not? We can’t just say “oh, these people only have access to one so the rule changes for them”.

What if a group of people only had access to one Wal-Mart and there were no other produce stores around? Does Wal-Mart have to be regulated? This does occur in many rural areas.

In short, does people only living in areas where there aren’t many utilities require the private entities around them to be regulated?

Internet needs less regulation not more. I don't support NN and I'm glad it's been repealed.

Repealing net neutrality will undoubtedly see an increase in regulation

    It passed already... lurk moar.

In other news, the original net neutrality regulations are going to be hard to revive. There is no magic bullet for reversal. However, replacing them altogether is another story entirely. I found this article here very relieving, as one of my biggest fears was that this was going to be another hot-button issue for a week and then forgotten about entirely like everything else. Thankfully, some people are still taking it very seriously.
