I'd file the scam report now, and be sure to get a refund, if not at least get the guy banned.

 

I'm sorry, but I feel it necessary to correct you before you go write up a scam report. The guys name is "Thelatent", not "Thetalent". The last guy who made a post like this about him also called him Thetalent lol.

Anyways, I hope everything works out man, but I wouldn't be too optimistic at this point. You most likely just flushed $2100 down the toilet Next time use an OMM and do a recovery test!

 

Wouldn't say that, as Sythe is known for it's black market where people trade accounts. You just can't buy an account off of some random.

 

i have nothing to hide, so let me start at the top. i bought an account here on sythe from another sythe user which cost me about 1000 $. I used it for about a couple months and it seemed safe. work started a few weeks and i got bored of rs and wondered over why I spent so much rl money on pixels anyway. I decided to sell. I PUT UP A TOPIC SAYING THAT I WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I DELIVERED POSSESION OF THE ACCOUNT TO "zac bro" in exchange for an amount of GP which was worth 1200 USD to me, not 2100 as he claims, god knows what inflated rate he buys his rsgp at. (This making a profit of 200$ ill admit) . He comes on msn and tells me the account is locked about a week after i handed him the account, he also confessed to telling someone in game that he was a jmod. (i have proof of this). The account was probably locked because of this. He asks me to recover it for him, I submit an appeal. He then submits another appeal at the same time for some stupid reason. . Our ips are in two different continents, and we both have EXACT creation info right down to the exact month of creation and the ip ( also this account was created over 6-7 years ago) . Both of us have failed to unlock it at this point of the story. I contact the original seller. and jagex as well (pretending to be the original owner) Jagex customer service keeps rejecting my appeals, even though all the information is accurate. I contact the person who sold me the account here on sythe. He claims to have tried recovering it. RsProd was used for this trade when he was an OMM. I dont want to drag him into this, he was an excellent OMM. Anyone whos bothered can contact him to verify that a trade indeed took place.

NOT THAT THIS IS MY FAULT. I SPECIFIED THAT I WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND THAT IT WAS NOT MY FAULT. I DID NOT MAKE 2100 $ contrary to what he claims, i only made a 200$ profit. However, for his sake i am TRYING TO RECOVER the account, the account was made in many (8+ years ago) in a city in lithuania. the guy who created it doesnt play rs anymore. This is information i have established. The guy who sold me the account here on sythe LIED to me about this. I have enough evidence to file a Scam report against him, only reason i havent is cause he says he is trying to help me. In fact you can/should take it up with him, considering you i forewarned you. Did you even READ my account selling thread? Anyways, im trying to unlock/recover the account for you. waiting for a friend from lithuania whom i trust to try and unlock it.

I dont see what im supposed to do. Also im not avoiding you, the reason i dont come on msn is cause i work 9 am to 9 pm now.

I dont/never intended to scam anyone, dont think i should be held responsible, do not have 2100 $ nor would i give you if i did. I will however try and get you the account back. But really, I dont see how i am at fault, i never withheld any information.

I did make a 200 $ profit which i am not refunding, cause it wasnt my stupidity, I told you i wouldnt be held liable if the account was recovered. and that I WAS NOT the original owner, anyways this being said, ill do my best to recover you the account, which should rightfully be yours. Im least bothered by runescape myself. If an OMM/Mod/ pre 2009 join date who is trusted and from lithunia wants to help out and have a go at recovering this account wants to have a go, drop me a pm

I have proof of all the conversations etc, btw saying that i wasnt the original owner, plus it was even on my sell thread if i remember correctly.

Talent, you should totally refund his money until you actually have the account. How the hell can you try to sell an account they you don't even have access too lmao. And as for you zac bro. Use a MM from now on when you have trades over like 200$....People get scammed everyday buying from someone that seems trusted and aren't so be careful around here mate. REFUND HIM TALENT. You even admitted you don't have access to the account which could probably get you banned but that is extremely shady that he pays you and it gets "locked" but it still gains 100kxp a day. If he doesn't go through with this trade Zac Bro then I would consider legal action.

 

did you even read my post? if it isnt locked its cause the guy who sold it to me recovered it. also, ironic coming from a guy with a TWC.

In reality, it's his fault for this, if he knew that the account could get recovered before he bought it.

Morally, I believe you're just being selfish. That is a hefty sum of cash, but he deserves atleast a partial refund. He didn't even get to enjoy the account he spent so much on. $2,100 isn't easy to come by.

Are you a bad person? No. You told him the risks. He accepted it. He paid you. The account got recovered; not your fault. However, if YOU recovered the account secretly, but you are hiding that fact: Go to Hell.

Just hypothetical speaking there. No offense intended towards you. This has to be upsetting on both sides.

I personally would give him atleast a 50% refund if I could not recover the account. Guilt eats me up badly if I do someone wrong.

To OP: Sorry man, but if you knew what was going on, you're at fault. I really feel for you, and I hope you at least get some of your cash back if the account cannot be recovered.

 

Why does everybody keep calling him "talent"? Am I the only person whose computer screen shows "latent"? This is really bugging me lol.

And its weird how these guys have 2 totally different stories, especially regarding the amount of cash that was included in the transaction. I would normally side with the buyer in this case, except it seems that Latent is trying his best to recover the account, and all these possible scenarios were included in the ToS and made known to the buyer before the actually purchased the account. I think a Mod should intervene in this case and review both sides of the story and help them to resolve this. Until it is recovered and secured though, I still think that a partial refund should be necessary.

 

I agree that a moderator needs to step in on this matter and try to figure out what exactly to do about this situation. I think he should be refunded fully, until he has the account, but after this I know I would not want it.

 

Yeah the account seems too sketchy to be sold or moved around anymore. I find it weird how it seems that it was recovered pretty much immediately after Zac had made the final payments :huh: This should be re written into a Scam report, explained from both sides, and then mediated by a mod. Having it here in this section really accomplishes nothing except people to arguem pick sides, and spell thelatent's name wrong.

 

Jagex watches all maxed accounts, recover the money and give him back the account as soon as possible.

 

Did you guys read thelatents post? The OP apparently pretended to be a jmod and he got the price he paid wrong, from what I read it was 1,200 not 2,100, sounds like his parents bought him it or something lol

TL; DR erson A sold this account to me i sold it to B. It gets locked. I try unlocking it on B's request and so does B, at the same time despite my warning. Now neither of us has access and person A isnt responding. Not my fault.

 

wtf dude i am pissed off cause u only fkn post replys on my thread why the hell dont you ever reply to my messages i send u atleast 2 a day !! and no the account got locked as they assumed i said i was a jmod reason here... i was wearing full golden mining outfit on RUNESCAPE with a completionist cape, one guy says are you a jmod? i said nothing another guy comes by and says wow nice is that a completionist cape and i said yes and it got locked cause they had assumed i was saying yes to the other guy.... well yes i would like to fkn sort this sht out i worked hell hard for 2100$ doesnt help when the seller doesnt reply to any of my sythe messages even tho hes online so i make a thread thats the only time he seems to talk......

 

AND ! doesnt fkn help when u block me on msn you have not been on once after i had done the last payment seems way too shady when before you were on every single day atleast every 5hours for a long period of time... my msn app says you have either deleted/blocked me ffs stop fkn me around

 

um...wtf? i wanted to pay more cause a account like this does not come often i wanted to auto win and buy it i dont live with my parents i live with my friends i work fkn hard soo hard i have more money at times to buy the things i want ....

 

You should gather all the evidence you have. Transactions of the disputed amount, reason for account lock, conversations.. If the amount is displayed as $2100 it will automatically work in your favour. It's truly is a large amount to deal with and it won't really go anywhere by publicly trying to vilify each other as someone has suggested.. All it does it make people develop opinions on the buyer/seller without any evidence.

You really should not have bought a 3rd hand account though with such high status. I feel for you though as now it is said and done it seems I think the whole ordeal is being dragged out.

Trust is such a manipulated emotion when impulse, greed, satisfaction is involved.
