All my valuable disappeared?

Well basicly i just starteed boxing, i was on 49m last night, got to 70m and logged off, logged on this morning and got to 80m, then i log on this afternoon and my money pouch is empty and my d claws have vanished.

I've been using a new password that NO-ONE knows
I have a bank pin that only i know.

My recoveries haven't changed, neither has my password and somehow my bank pin was bypassed.

I have been logging in on my new laptop, i have barely downloaded anything, so i'm certain there isn't a key-logger or any malicious software on my laptop.

What in God's name happened here?

1. How come my password was not changed.
2. How did they bypass my dear old bankpin?

 

You must have had a keylogger on your computer or something, it's very easy to get one without realising it. Keyloggers are normally very stealthy and you won't ever know they're there unless you know what to look for. My advice is download + scan with Malwarebytes and change your RS password, recoveries, bank pin and so on on a different computer that you know is safe.

 

Maybe it was one of your friends or so, did you see if there logged in some other IP?

 

I didn't see the ip because nothing looked suspicious. I know there isn't a keylogger because i've only had my laptop for under a month and downloaded verified software from publishers like microsoft, steam and mcafee ONLY.

if you rwted in the past you may have got reset.

 

Like Pun said, RWT could have had your acc reset, however they wouldn't remove your d claws on your first reset, unless they're cracking down again.

If it was a hacking, it was a RAT, that's the only plausible explanation for why/how your pin was bypassed.

I asked a player mod if Jagex would ever remove gold and/or valuables from a players account because a large amount of gold has recently come into their account and he replied with 'No.'

A key-logger logs your keystrokes and even if it did log your mouse clicks the rs pin system makes it change everytime you click so it won't be identical, HOW COULD THEY BYPASS MY PIN?

I am now completely scanning my computer with both McAfee antivires/spyware and malwarebytes, i'll let you guys know what comes up.

 

Could have had a RAT, and Jagex DO clean you if they find you to be RWTing.

Let us know what happens with the MalwareBytes scan.

 

They won't when income comes in rapidly, but if you had asked him if players get reset for RWT and he probably would have replied differently.

Also, as I said, if it was a hacking of sorts, it was probably a RAT because if I'm not mistaken that records/shows your full screen.

 

I know of keyloggers that make pictures every 15 minutes or so. Maybe it is a more advanced keylogger, that could recognise the bank-pin screen of Runescape? Just a wild suggestion, I am not an expert in anything computer related :embar:

You are trying to prove to us that it wasn't a keylogger... but if everyone is saying it was.
It was. They are nasty things and can do more than just follow your key movements.

And surprise surprise it is from "Gold4fun" Who i've never looked at before, but it sorta points the finger at where it went.

 

Nope, I doubt it was GOLD4FUN haha. Notice how it only pops up when you load a new page on Sythe, Malwarebytes detects that site as malicious and blocks the advertisement on here. I don't think GOLD4FUN are malicious in terms of blackhat and such, but I have heard many stories of them scamming and such.

 

Wait so you have or haven't bought GP from Gold4Fun, cause if you have, a RWT clean could be a simple/highly likely answer.

If did did press "Run Java" on a site you can have been infected by a Keylogger by a Java Drive-by

 

Never even heard of Gold4Fun let alone bought gold from them.

And the only java i have run that could possibly not be legit is a rsps that i have played for over 4 years and have used when i was much richer, anyway i know the owner in real life and i'm pretty certain it's not that. I've scanned that anyway.

 

Okay, have you ever bought gold? Specifically that 49M you staked with? Doesn't matter off who, but have you bought GP before?
