    close the bot and try it again, it should start working as soon as you pick what boat...

    Select the boat as Novice. As there are no people at all in veteran and the boat wont start. I guess thats ur problem. Also keep it at randomized play so you dont look like a bot. Then select some thing u want to spend the commendation points on and hit start! It works for me like that.
